Helpful little gizmo. We used ours to secure tags on a large dog. Did job well until one day, after perhaps 1.5 months use, I pushed to unsnap it and the clipping part of mechanism twisted sideways and broke off, rendering it unusable. Needs beefier construction, but concept is good.

Updated: Communication from seller: Likely my clip was from a lot hit with a manufacturing issue. Will replace if I call them. Those quality issues have been resolved.

I haven't taken time to contact seller, but will do so, and wanted to update my rating to reflect my appreciation. Any seller that takes the time to: 1. Respond to complaints, and 2. Make efforts to fix it with the customer keeps my business and gets my appreciation! As stated earlier, the device is clever and worked well with our dog. I'll be pleased to try another of them.

I thought this was a great solution. Within a few days, my dog's tags were missing after a busy play time at the dog park never to be found! So good-bye city license, rabies tag, microchip tag, and owner info tag!

I've purchased the Medium & Large Rubit dog tag switch clip. Both work great!

I need to attach different tags to one of my dogs. One attachment has her regular tags (name tag, dog license and rabies tag). The second attachment has her therapy dog identification. The second tag is only used when working, so I take it on and off frequently.

After 6 months, I decided to buy new clips because the black color was faded and beat up. It was still functional, just not very pretty.

If you don't want to worry about the color, I'd suggest buying the silver color.

This item seemed like a great idea but after only two weeks of use I found one of my two dog's tags and clip on the floor. When I examined the clip I found that the spring wire that prevents the clip from coming off had been pulled out. The design is such that anything that can separate the spring wires can dislodge the spring from the clip. Fortunately, the clip came off inside the house instead of outside or we might never have found the tags. My dogs are active and this probably occurred during active play. This item might work OK for less active animals, but I have discontinued using the clips with mine.

I so wanted these to hold up with my crew. They are heavy duty and impressive design and ease of use.
But....my very active catahoula broke his, after it caught on fence in very short time. I tried a second one, always hopeful, with the same results. The one my neapolitan wore did last perhaps a year, alas I found that one broken just this week.
The succcess story is the one on my slo-mo lap buddy pug.

After reading all the reviews we decided to order. We received it June 30th. We've only switched it on our pups collars a few times and it just broke yesterday. Don't waste your money. Conveniently we can't get an exchange/replacement.

I have had these for years for my dogs. They are strong, hold all their tags. and make it so easy to change yearly tags or move the whole thing to another collar. I think they are great!

I had a smaller version of these that worked great, but the larger size didn't hold up long at all. They only lasted about a week. My dogs lost all of their tags.
