    I returned the 11.5 for 11 and they still might be slightly big but I haven't worn smaller than that for years. Overall, they are great. They look almost very dark blue as opposed to black. The calfskin is super soft and I like the Varvatos peace sign on the sole.

    This is my 3rd pair of this shoe (different colors / years).
    Would be 5 stars EXCEPT all 3 pairs *squeak* loudly. To the point that I cannot wear the shoes. Tries many fixes, including drying / powder / oil / etc., nothing has worked. I have similar shoes in other brands and never had this problem.
    This pair began to squeak very quickly after purchase, as opposed to after much use for the other pairs.
    Definitely time to stop rebuying these.

    I bought these from the retailer and not from Amazon. They are beautiful pair of shoes but They squeak so bad that it hurts. :(
    I look stellar walking on these but sound like an idiot. No matter how great they look, JV fails in the quality and make of this pair. Something is definitely up. it appears to be a big problem with the leather style. If you want to be fashionable then go ahead but be worn, they will make you regret. And I like to live with "NO REGRATS" Yes, REGRATS!! <-----
