These are great! I bought them to go with my Brother LB-6800 PRW machine and they dropped right in, no problems at all so far and I've done half a dozen projects with them. FYI, they don't come with any plastic/metal/cardboard casing around them, but don't be alarmed, (as I was) they apparently don't need it! And if you are a beginner embroiderer, you may not be aware that you use white embroidery bobbin thread for embroidery projects- not color thread as you do with sewing, so these will do all your embroidery projects. I originally ordered these bobbins last fall and LOVED having pre-wound bobbins. They arrived packaged perfectly (no problem at all with packaging either time), dropped right into both of my Brother PE-770 machines and worked perfectly. This was before they went caseless. :( I went through the first 144 bobbins very quickly and ordered a second box (using the same purchasing link and hitting "reorder", so I know I ordered the same thing as I had originally ordered). I was perplexed when I opened the second box to see that the bobbins were not encased in the original plastic bobbin cases... just bobbin thread wound together around a plastic core. Not loving these new bobbins....

I would give my original purchase 5-Stars without hesitation, but can't give more than 3-Stars for the new design. My Brother machines do not like these new bobbins. I use both machines approximately 8 hours per days, so I go through a lot of bobbins. I've had more pain than pleasure from the new caseless versions. They throw off my tension horribly and I can't get it adjusted to where the bobbin thread doesn't show through on the top of my project. Replacing with a standard case bobbin fixes it immediately, so I know it's the bobbin, not the machine. And the machine signals that the bobbin is empty when there is still about a 1/3 of the thread on the bobbin. There is no convincing the machine otherwise, so I end up throwing away thread. I'm sure tossing the old style empty plastic cases into recycling was wasteful, too, but I don't like throwing away perfectly good thread.

I don't want to go back to winding my own bobbins, and the value of this 144 pack is fabulous... just please give us back the plastic cases, so we can be friends with our machines again! Unless the plastic bobbin casings come back, I won't order these again. It's just not worth it, sadly.

Description says can be used with Brother PE770 but it cant. PE770 can only use 90 weight bobbin thread and this thread is thinner like a 60weight and CAN NOT be used in the machine so I have 144 bobbins I cant use now.

I love the concept of pre-wound bobbins, especially for embroidery. I have used them in my Brother LB-6800 and these work great.

I would have given this 5 stars, but the box is slightly too big for the bobbins to stay in place during shipping. Most of the bobbins, on the top 2 layers, had shifted during shipping and were partially unwound so I had to hand-wrap most of them and one bobbin was a total loss.

Still, this is a good price even with the hassle.

I might buy again, but the manufacture should use something more than just tissue paper to separate the layers. Or, just putting an extra piece of cardboard along the insides of the box would hold these bobbins in place during shipping.

This time, it worked great and I wish to apologize for the complaint. The bobbins are great and I am so proud to own them.

I got these for my brother PE770 after reading reviews that the thread tension was the main problem people were having with the machine.
I have had no problems with my thread breaking at all after using these.

My only complaint is that they arrived in a box that had burst open into the bigger surrounding box, and had all rolled around and tangled together during shippment. I was so discouraged by this I have just left them tangled in the bigger box and simply untangle one at a time as I need them.
Not ideal, but still worth the purchase.
