This is a really cool box! I gave this box to my wife for our wedding anniversary since 5 year anniversary gift theme is supposed to be wood. I then hid a nice pair of diamond/sapphire earrings inside the larger compartment. It was great to watch her struggle for a few minutes to get it open. I put a small note in the first compartment and then put earrings in the second compartment. It worked out perfect and was exactly what I was looking for.

The build quality was good enough, but not great. You could tell it was put together rather quickly with the wooden slots on the outside not lining up perfectly, and I had small end piece fall off that I had to glue back on. Not a big deal since it was an easy re-glue fix, and I still gave it 5 stars considering its overall quality was good for the price, and the concept was clever and cool.

In terms of size, the box is a decent size overall, but the 2 compartments are small. The first compartment is much smaller than the second. I wanted to put an earring box inside the second compartment but it was far too small. Hope this helps if anyone ever has the wacky idea of doing something similar.

I will definitely consider buying another one of these in the future as a gift if I ever want to give someone a money gift and make them work for it.

I bought this box as part of a Chinese gift exchange. The box itself was in excellent condition. It's pretty simple and plain, but that's what I was expecting. You can see a bit where they glued pieces on, but only if you're really looking. I tried to open the box first to make sure everything work and didn't need messing with. I thought I'd found the pieces, but had to refer to the picture to be sure! It required a little force to pull the pieces out, which is good cause it's not much of a secret box if all it takes is a tug. Putting them back requires a little force as well, but the box is a sturdy thing and can hold up to a little rough handling.

My only real complaint is that it takes a little maneuvering to get the big drawer out and the pieces on the sides where the drawers were were a tad uneven, but that's just picking at nits. Totally satisfied with this product, and the person who won it in the gift exchange was delighted with it!

So when I had ordered this, I thought it would be a cool little stash box with a twist. Because unless you know how to open it, it seems impossible. Very, very cool over-all however, I will say one thing it is a bit bigger than you would expect. It is not crazy big, but it wont fit in your back pocket. The size is made up for because of the amount of storage it provides. Over-all very happy with it and would recommend it to people who want to hide their "things".

I'm heavily into twisty (Rubik's) puzzles, burr puzzles and wire disentanglement puzzles. So I stumbled onto this box by happenstance and was quite impressed by it once I received it today. Yes, there is a small amount of saw dust inside of it. Yes, you can see some areas where it has been glued. No, mine didn't come with instructions either. But for FIVE DOLLARS, I wasn't really expecting an exquisite, handmade box. I got exactly what I expected, and to be honest, the quality is better than I expected. The only gripe I would have is the way it was shipped. It could have easily been broken during transit but thankfully it wasn't. The box is awesome. It looks cool sitting on my shelf along with my other wooden puzzle items and I'm glad I bought it. I will definitely get more of these in the future because they are cute and fun and serve a purpose!

I just received this little box in the mail today. I have to be honest, it stumped the mess out of me for several minutes. So I had to go online and take another look at the picture, and I'm very thankful for the picture of it opened up. But nothing step-by-step. Oh! And just so you know, it DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY INSTRUCTIONS! But it is truly an awesome stash box, and great gift idea, although it may wear more with daily use and give away the opening tricks, but all in all I think it's well worth it! Thanks.

Got this as a gift for my nephew. He was trying to figure out what pieces were supposed to come out and two slats came off that shouldn't have. The ones that were supposed to were really hard to remove. He had to use a butter knife to get it apart and get the drawers to open. After he glued the two pieces back on it looked ok.
