I decided to try this product after using an ultrasonic device that worked for about 5 minutes. My dog does not excessively bark, but he does bark and carry on when I leave the house. It took about 2 days for him to get the idea of why he is wearing it. Now I don't even need to turn it on. When he wears it, he know what will happen if he barks.
One of the things I love about this collar is that it will not go off if he just whines or makes other little noises. It only goes off with barking. I did not want him punished for whining. Overall this is a great product and I would highly recommend it.

I received my No Bark Citronella Spray collar in only a few days and it was well packaged. The instructions were clear and the nylon collar was stronger than I expected based on previous reviews. The first time that I left my dog in the house when I was out with the collar on, I came back and the place definitely smelled of citronella and I heard from a neighbour that she was still barking. The same thing happened the second time so I was beginning to wonder if I'd wasted my money. But, I have to say that my dog is not very smart - she's an adorable cavalier spaniel but they're not know for their brains, so I think it just took her awhile to make the association between the sprays and her barking. Now, I put the collar on and she doesn't bark at all. I've even forgotten to turn it on and she hasn't barked, so she's obviously now associating the collar with something unpleasant and it's keeping her from barking. Thanks so much - I am SO glad that I bought the collar as the dog was barking for hours when I was away from the house, even if other people were around - which was incredibly annoying for them!

I highly recommend giving this collar a try - it's the same quality as other similar products that are much higher priced.

Truly, I've gone through a couple of these through the years and this one is just as good as some of the most expensive brands. Like the others, the spray can go off at random times (which is why I give the product 4 and not 5 stars). However, this happens with more expensive models as well. This works well for my dog, and after one or two tries with the collar on, all I have to do now is put it on him and keep it on off. It deters the barking extremely well.

We've been using these collars for about 3 days now and they have already had a huge impact. The dogs that are wearing them are 9lbs and 40lbs and both had major barking issues - anytime a leaf fell from a tree, a moth alighted on the outdoor lantern, someone drove within 2 miles of the house...you get the idea. Not to mention how crazy they'd go if someone was walking by or when it was trash day - then it was complete meltdown. The larger dog actually makes sounds like no dog I've heard when our neighbor walks his dog - it sounds like something is killing her/torturing her. It is really awful and would also start our other one up and totally freak out the neighbor's dog (and likely the neighbor.) She just worked herself into a frenzy the longer she barked.

Sometimes the smaller dog's bark will not set off the spray but after the first day of getting sprayed several times (despite the one or two times it didn't work) his barking problem is under control. The 40lb dog has not just a barking but a whining problem and I was delighted that the collar works effectively against both issues. A small whimper won't set it off but loud, prolonged whining did. After the progress we've experienced in just a few days, I think this problem is licked within the week. LOVE this product and so thankful I didn't go with something more extreme. Also, very nice to have a little quiet around the house! I think all of our anxiety levels have come down and we're not ticking off everyone within earshot now, which is nice.

We have three dogs, and we purchased this for the one who barks like crazy. My husband had a hard time figuring out how to put the collar together, and it took us both about 30 minutes to figure it out. Once we put it on our dog, it worked the very first time! She did not try to bark at all after it sprayed her the first time. The only problem is that our other dog will howl from time to time (usually only on command) and it sprayed her when he howled... and I felt terrible! She REALLY hates it when she gets sprayed! The nice thing about the collar is that there is an on/off switch on the box, which helps a lot. We usually keep it turned off when we are home, since she is used to it and no longer barks around us, however, I do keep it on when she is in the back yard, because we have grumpy neighbors who complain any time she makes a peep. I would definitely recommend this product, especially since it was not very expensive! And we've been using the collar for about 2 weeks and have not had to refill the box yet.
