I did a lot of research before I made the leap on this saw. I was dead set on the Dewalt, until I got to look at this saw in the flesh at Acme Tool Crib in Williston ND. Let me tell you - this saw looks like a corvette. It is truly a beautiful piece of equipment. But, aside from the looks the function is what really matters. This saw has a nice ball bearing rolling base, a good plastic water catching system, and a easy to set up stand.. Now, for the real world review after laying a 2500 square foot floor using 24" wood look tile, and 18" slate:

-Water system: This is fair to weak. The restriction valve works good, it allows you to pinch the water back very controlling. The base flow works good, washing all the debri down to the reserve pit. The water trays do a pretty good job of keeping the spray within the saw, and not all over the floor. The main reason I gave this a fair to weak is because of the hoses being tangled all the time. Maybe with a little work a guy could re-route these lines different than the manufacture recommends.

- Power: Average to strong. The saw winds up to speed fast, and cuts at an acceptable rate. It has a easy to view LED light that will change color from green to orange when you are feeding the tile to fast and starting to stall the motor. This feature is worth its weight - in my opinion. Much easier to train employees on the feed rate.

- Installation and assembly: Great. This saw is a solid piece. It has a hefty frame, and wheels mounted on the bottom to wheel it around on location. After you get the X-Frame stand unfolded and to your desired height, the saw is lifted into position, and locked down with two wing nuts. Pop the plastic splash tray on the back, plug in your water pump and fill the trough.

I do a lot of cutting tile ALOT. The ts60s blade is even with the bar that holds the saw motor on so you are unable to cut a marble sill 2 inches if your cut exceeds 16 inches or so. It makes me crazy that I bought a $1200.00 wet saw that can't cut a normal L cut like a target because of a faulty design. It also makes a huge mess by your feet and you have to wait to long for the water to hit the tile. Not good terrible design. Probably designed by a carpet layer. Trust me on this if you are a tile setter you will be mad for buying this.

Very impressed with the design of this tile saw. I had been using a DeWalt 24000S but it's a very large saw and after two years the rollers and other parts have begun to rust. The TS60's rollers will never rust: they're made of a heavy-duty phenolic plastic. The TS60 is about the same weight as the DeWalt, except that it's slightly more compact and has integral wheels, which makes moving it a lot easier. The components all seem to be heavy-duty quality with the exception of the somewhat flimsy side table extension and the plastic water hose connectors; I worry that these parts might break off accidentally some day. I love how small this saw is. The water distribution is top-notch, and overspray is almost non-existent when making straight cuts. When directing water onto the blade for bevel cuts, the nozzle design coats the blade evenly, unlike the DeWalt which only seemed to hit a small portion of the blade no matter how you adjusted it. The recirculating water tray keeps the pump fairly well isolated from the tile slurry, and emptying the pan into a 5-gallon bucket is a cinch, though you have to slide the whole tray out to empty it completely. It's important to level the saw when setting it up for the water distribution system to work properly -- a bulls-eye bubble level is integrated into the saw frame, and each leg of the stand adjusts up and down to help get it close. The plastic angle guide quick-clamps to the fence and adjusts from 90 degrees left to 90 degrees right with all the angles in between; it would be nice to have a detent stop at 45-degrees however. The DeWalt's guide, on the other hand, is made of metal but is extremely fussy to adjust when "dialing in" a precise width, requires you to screw down a knob to lock it in place (which moves the guide when you do!Read more ›

I recently bought this saw and must say it is amazing. You can cut indoors!! I am a contractor (15 yrs in business) specializing in bathrooms and must cut tiles in cold temps in winter. if you have experienced in wet saws you know they can make quite the mess when you cut indoors in a basement and tend to freeze over while cutting outdoors in cold temps. This saw has almost no spray off. The water is shot down the tray and picked up by the blade from under the tile. They also have a more traditional spray directly on the blade from under the blade guard that is volume adjustable to give you only the amount of water you need. I just tiled a 10' tall 4'x5' custom standing shower, 100sqft. floor, and tub deck and surround indoors with very little clean up. It is very light weight and so far i haven't even see the motor overload safety led light even flicker. I have been using a pearl abrasive saw for over ten years( also a great saw) and was amazed how much lighter this saw is than my old one. I can't speak to the longevity of the saw but it cuts straight and is very innovative. Only complaint is that there should be a better system of running the hoses to saw from pump. The lines kinda get bunched up in the water tray. I bought the saw locally so no comment on shipping, and as far as setup goes it took me and my crew about 25min from box to up and running. great saw for professionals, probably too much saw for your average homeowner. I hope it lasts as long as my pearl abrasive.
