I love this food for my dogs. I have a severely diabetic dog that has been on many different SPECIAL diabetic foods and could not control her numbers. I was spending about $60 for a 17 pound bag of SPECIAL food. Hogwash. I have my other three Border Collies on this food and have been feeding it for over 7 years. I decided to try my diabetic furbaby on it and ITS A MIRACLE! Her blood sugars have stabilized to near perfect! Forget the other special foods, I am sticking with this! ALL the dogs love it. Note however, that with diabetic dogs, a specific protein can make a difference in Blood sugars and the Lamb and Rice is the only one of this brand she will be stable with. I usually get my food from Petsmart but when I needed it they did not have it in stock SO, turn to the reliable Amazon to the rescue. Not only where they cheaper, I did not have to drive to get it! Love it and so do the dogs!

Our dog is a picky eater and we have found this to be a great choice for him. Natures recipe makes a quality product, and it does not go through him too fast in terms of making his outdoor deposits. We have found the 'easy to digest' natures recipe brand makes him need to go outside too often, but this type we have found no issue. Absolutely love the free shipping when in stock via Amazon, I recommend waiting until its in stock to get free shipping. Cheaper than my local petstores! Thxs amazon.

I can't say enough good things about this dog food. First let me say my wife blessed our family of four on Christmas with Chief (our black German Shepherd/Labrador mix). He was 6 weeks old when we got him. My wife went to Petco when we started to get him off the formula and they recommended this dog food (the puppy version). They made sure we got the lamb meal and rice recipe to make sure he's healthy and has good skin and a nice coat along with energy, good muscles and healthy stool. Now three months later (4 months old), I was like WOOOOW !!!! The vet is amazed with his health , and good looks and so are we. I'm always getting compliments about his coat in public about how good it looks and how soft it is when they pet him. Btw we already switched over to the adult version of the same food a week ago (the vet and the Petco sales person said it was a good idea). My dog loves it, we love it for him and our bank account loves it. I was considering blue buffalo or candidae but after trying this I don't think I'll settle for anything else. Get this food everybody and make sure it's the lamb meal and rice recipe and after about a month or two you won't be able to stop looking at your dog. You'll find even more reason than you already have to spend time with him/her.! Trust me !!!

This is a product that I was initially concerned about, having never ordered dog food through Amazon before. And while we had an issue with the first shipment [bag was torn inside the box], the company immediately authorized a replacement shipment. Anyone can have a shipping issue, so it's customer service that counts form me.

As for the product itself, it seems to be extremely well balanced and of high quality. I've normally bought the Kirkland variety from Costco, but this is far more convenient, though a few bucks more. Still, I don't have to go get it, so that is worth it to me.

The dogs seem to love it as well. I have a small/medium 14 yr old Jack Russell who is pretty picky, a medium size Blue Pit who is about 2 years old and will eat anything, and a mixed unknown of large size that is about 10 months old. ALL of them love this product, and that is particularly satisfying with the Jack Russell. I've used a couple of bags now and they've all been to the vet for blood work in the past couple of weeks and it all came back with flying colors.

So as long as they like it and the vet is on board with it, I'm a happy person. I highly recommend this product.

My dog loves this food. I like that it is natural and does not contain all those fillers or corn. The first and main ingredient is protein. Her previous food has drying her skin out due to the amount of corn in it. This does not do that at all. She has healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Summary: Great food, helped my dogs' BM's

I adopted a dog a few months ago, and the shelter gave me a coupon for a free 6 pound bag of dog food at my local pet shop. I redeemed the coupon, but it did not agree with my dog. He is a miniature schnauzer and very small (around 10 pounds). With the free brand he pooped constantly. My partner and I would pick up around 5-6 piles of waste every day, and we only feed him twice a day. It was inconsistent and way too much. I could tell he was absorbing little to no nutrients.

I switched to this brand shortly after, and he loved it! His movements are now consistent and much more appropriate for his size. I am not a dog expert, but it seems to be nutrient-rich. I now have a Shih Tzu as well, and both of them devour it at feeding time. They are healthy, happy, and active. Absolutely recommend if you have similar problems with your dogs.

It may not be the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for. Personally, I think it is very affordable for the quality.
