This is no ordinary grout. This grout is as much a part of your tile design as the tiles themselves. Make no mistake about it, it is stupidly expensive (I was tempted to deduct a star just for the cost factor) but this really is a case of "you get what you pay for." Paired with the right tiles this grout will send your counter or wall design over the top. But it is not the right grout for every situation. At least, that's my opinion. I wouldn't use this grout with opaque tiles but with glass tile that has translucence, oh wow! This grout makes all the difference. The grout itself is a tiny bit translucent. I believe it has finely ground glass which gives it the translucent feel. I paired it with Sonic Fusion Glass Tile - SF0270 which is a blue glass tile and used it on a counter top. Everyone who sees it loves it. Really loves it. There is something special and unexpected about this grout.

I helped out a little with the grouting (I wanted to do all the grouting myself but no one trusted me to do that -- they were wrong, this is the sort of project I am obsessively and artistically good with. I hate painting walls, but when it comes to grout, I'm all in) and I have to say that it was very very easy. You need to follow the manufacturer's guidelines.... you do a small area and wipe off the excess. Another small area and another wipe. Small area. Wipe. Repeat. You get the picture. When you are finished you look it over and see any areas that might need a little more and you fill them in. This stuff comes pre-mixed and I understand it has a shelf life of 2 years. I have some left over so I think I am going to make a little mosaic table.

According to the manufacturer, this grout never needs to be sealed and it is highly stain resistant.

I would not buy or use this product again. It is not translucent. Instead, it is an off-white color when dry. It might let some light through if used on glass blocks that allow light from both side, but, not on a wall, The price is VERY expensive and even worse is that it does not cover the area indicated. We bought two 9-gallon buckets and it did not cover a 28-square-foot area area of 12 by 1 by 1 tile sheets. We now have a small area of ungrouted tile in our new kitchen and I really don't want to spend $100 more and get the installer back out here for that. Any ideas?

This stuff is pretty great. We used it for our backsplash, as we have translucent glass tiles, and it looks amazing. Lets way more light in than traditional grout would have, doesn't break up the tile at all. It's like a clear/slightly grey color when dry, but I'm super pleased with the outcome. The only downside was the price, and it doesn't go very far so we had to order a second 9# container for the 4 feet of wall space left after the first. Kind of a bummer, but worth it for the final look!

I gave this product 2 stars as I am sure it would work well in a place with no foot traffic. For use as a floor grout I would give it 0 stars.
I paid a hefty amount to grout my kitchen floor in this as it matched my tiles perfectly and based on the products description of "no sealing" and "stain resistant" I felt it was a no brainier and would save me a lot of work in the long run. I am a contractor and we offer this product but have never used it so I figured I would give it a try. After spending days removing the old tile, laying new tile and grouting, my kitchen floor looked amazing. I mean it was gorgeous. After 6 months of living in our home the grout is stained in all of the traffic areas and I cannot get it out. I have tried bostik grout cleaner, bleach, ammonia (not in the same place as the bleach) hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and vinegar, oven cleaner, simple green (stained the grout a pretty green color) and toothpaste. Plus a multitude of other items i cannot remember. I didn't dilute the product, mixed it well and installer per manufacturers specifications, I even gave it another 72 hours cure time. All I can say is I am sad. My beautiful floor looks terrible. I have come to the conclusion of staining the grout with a sealer and loosing the original sparkle to cover up the stains. I spoke to our rep and he said that bostik does not honor "staining" claims. He did give me another pail to try and I ground out an area and replaced the grout which stained again. Grinding out over 200 sq ft is too time consuming to consider at the moment. Last week I accidentally broke a bottle of hot sauce on my floor and within seconds I cleaned it up. I am a clean freak. I now have an orange haze where it got on the grout. I am sure it works well for backsplashes but I would use extreme caution and a sealer might be a good thing to consider. I just don't want anyone to experience the disappointment I have on this product.

The results we got are great, but the product is harder to work with than regular grout. We used it on a backsplash, and the grout has the consistency of a slurpee, so it was hard to keep it on the tile and the grout float. I would advise anyone using it on a wall to put down a layer of newspaper to catch what falls so your cleanup will be easier.
Also pay attention to the instruction to NOT get it on your skin!!
