Very bright, on off switch is nice feature. The head is a little heavy for the goose neck so you wont be able to extend the goose neck laterally and expect it to support the head. But if u are positioning it similar to the picture it is fine.
I purchased it to plug it into the side of my sewing machine and extend the gooseneck laterally to shine on the needle area ... that does not work. It is such a great light I'm keeping it to use in my automobile console for reading and hand sewing when I'm a passenger. The light is a nice white light, some of the LED are a blueish light which I dont care for.

I like this light for eluminating the keyboard of my laptop. The number of LEDs brightens up the entire keyboard surface sufficiently for me to easily type even in a darkened room. One drawback: two of the LEDs went out shortly after I purchased it but the remaining ones serve my purpose. Otherwise, a 5 star device.

See images to get an idea of how bright it is. I have a mighty might book light (also purchased from Amazon) and although it does the job because its light weight, I was always concerned that it was not enough for the kids to read before bed.

Can't believe what a difference it makes. We plug this into a USB AA battery pack. Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power and Battery Charger

It feels cheaply made but what do you expect for less than $4.00 shipped. But so far its lasting for 2 months so will see what long term it will be.

I must warn everyone, the head containing the lights is too heavy to consistently use the goose neck feature. Sometimes, if you position it juuuuust right, and cross your eyes and rub your tummy and check your horoscope, the head will stay in place. All other times, it just slowly relaxes and dumps your light where you don't want it. The thing is bright, too bright for close up work. If they had made it with half the lights, the head would stay in place and the light would be at a useful level. But they didn't. Too frustrating, avoid this item and save your money.

This was an okay buy. It worked for what I need it to, which is just a little light on my keyboard. It wont work for you if your computer is under a desk or in a cabinet as this has to be plugged into a USB outlet and needs stability so an extension will only work if the light has something to wrap around. The flexing part is only 10 1/2 inches. There is a switch on top of the light itself, but it's not really a switch, it doesn't move or do anything. The light goes on when you plug it in and off when you unplug it.
It's a pretty bright light, works for me when painting or typing. I like it and would recommend this unit if it fits your needs.
