I used this cable to replace the one on my laptop that was apparently installed incorrectly at the factory. The original one was crimped each time the laptop was opened and closed. Once I installed this cable, the laptop worked like new.

A client brought me a dell with nothing but a solid white screen. A quick google search showed that the video cable is a common issue with these models so I ordered this as a replacement.

It solved the problem and I have not heard anything back from the client. No news is good news!

This cable seems to be a good replacement for the original video cable in the Dell Inspiron 5030. The cable didn't fix my problem, but I think I am having motherboard issues. Cable is well protected by its sheathing and the flat cable design makes it easy to tuck it behind the LCD when putting the LCD back in.

Resolved my display corruption issue. Sometimes you don't know what the problem is and the cheapest thing to start with is this cable. Glad I didn't have to replace the panel, I imagine that's rare.
