We bought two. Kind of cheap looking, and light weight, so not using in my living room. We put them in the family room downstairs. The glossy dark brown inserts for the top and bottom are just covered pressboard and the glue can be seen around some of the edges. The metal is not plumb so they sit a bit cockeyed. I read the other reviews, and that is why I chose these. Mistake! Would I recommend these? No, sorry, I wouldn't.

I bought this to sit in the center of my sofa so I can set my laptop on it when I get up, and the laptop won't heat up against the sofa cushions. I forgot to measure how high the underside of my sofa is, so the bottom of the tray doesn't slide under the sofa as I'd expected. It still sits close enough that it's not an issue, and is so sturdy I don't think twice about setting my laptop on it. There's plenty of room under the top tray for magazines, a book or two, random items. It has worked out perfectly for my needs. The table is stable enough to use independently, as well. Great value, IMO.

The iron work was welded incorrectly so that it was impossible to use the bolts on one side (where the table lay.) Also, the wood on top was a very shiny, plastic looking laminate. Tried to return item but the company never responded. Fortunately Amazon values customer relations and issued a credit to my account. Thanks, Amazon!

This is a great table along side of your sofa for holding snacks, cup of coffee or whatever within arms reach for ultimate comfort, specially when watching TV. It was super easy to assemble and took less then 10 minutes to get table up and running. It comes with a tool need for assembly which makes assembling this table even more fun.

Overall design is satisfactory and looks good. Price is just right for the table.

I have purchased these before as I do work, hobby work and often have a snack in the living room. But warning - MANY are flimsy and will actually warp if you put any books on them. MANY are not tall enough to go over your knee or, in my case, my feet and ottoman. (some just barely clear the couch or chair)
This is very sturdy - it is metal. The top is wood color, but solid laminate, not plastic - so is the bottom piece.
The only downside (but not big enough to lose a star) is that it is small. But I measured before I purchased so I knew the size it would be. I am very pleased with the purchase and having used it for several months now, know it will serve me for a long time to come.

I love this little stand, it was super easy to put together and it looks very expensive. The two levels are a shiny wood/wood type product and it looks nice. it's sturdy and hasn't fallen over. I have it on carpet and it's very solid. Well worth the money and is working perfectly for my needs of using the computer at the couch.

Table is perfect for our sectional couch! We love these "C" tables because we can put them right where we need them. We have 2 others that open up into a larger table and I thought this one would compliment those. This one is extremely shiny, almost like a very glossy fake wood. I was not expecting that so this is a little disappointing. Not sure it will last as long as our other tables.

Works great and looks real nice. I actually wasn't expecting the table top to be a shiny finish. It's a pretty dark wood color but the look is very modern and shows water and smudges like a glass table top. As for size, we have a big couch and it pushes in perfectly over the cushions, and the table top is on the small-medium size. The bottom shelf is a nice feature that you don't find on others, but ours just collects dog hair because it's not very practical to place books or magazines down there when you're scooting the table around to suit your needs. As a new mom, I use it to keep everything in reach (remote, coffee, snack) when on the couch with my newborn. One thing to note is that I found it does not slide easily on our area rug, which is necessary as I like to be able to move it to another location with all my goodies on it without picking it up. We have actually since put this side table in our room where it will sit stationary and found a larger one that slides more easily and also has a larger surface area to use in our family room.
