I picked this fragrance up from a clearance table. What better way to try a new brand and scent and not feel to bad if you didn't like it? My regret was that the store was to far to drive back the moment I starting simmering the oil and experienced one of the most enjoyable scents I have ever graced my home with. I would have purchased everything that store had left in stock. I simmer this fragrance everyday. Everyone who has visited my home has immediately commented on the fantastic way my home smells. I of course have told all my visitors what I found and unfortunately they will need to purchase this product on line because no other store I have been in has carried the line of products. I would like to try some of the other Claire Burke scents but I am so crazy about this one I can't bring myself to experience one of the others. Try this scent in your home. You will be very pleased. Men and Women alike.

I've been using Claire Burke for over twenty years. I have tried other oils, but I always come back to Claire Burke Original scent; it has such a sophisticated aroma. Sadly, it has been hard to locate this product in stores. I am happy to have found it here on Amazon.

This is definately the "Original!' My mom used this and the dried potpourri when I was growing up. This is the loveliest spicie-rose fragrance, and brings me back to my childhood. A few drops of this monthly on my dried potpourri, and my house is infused with the softest, lovely fragrance.

Sadly as much as I adore the Original it is different now. No one can tell me it is the same since I have had the true original since the 80s. I first bought it in the late 80s, the potpourri refresher oil, and I bought every bottle in the store because the store had a big sale. $2.50 a .5 oz.bottle. .I am down to my last two bottles. I keep the bottles closed tight and each bottle has lasted about 2 years. Alas, the diffuser scent is almost non existent, lasts a long time in the bottle but you can't smell anything unless you bring it up to your face or pass on the way to the potty. It does not fill the room like it did when everyone was using the metal and ceramic rings. They are even hard to find. So disappointed they are not selling the potpourri refresher and are selling this. I wish now I had gone to the other two stores that day in 1989 and bought all of their stock...at $2.50! I have not bought this one yet, I doubt it will be the same because the diffuser smell is not. Plus the price on the diffuser 3 oz has gone way up in price since I bought them. Once they are gone I won't waste my money on them. I have to say it will be very sad when I can no longer have this in my home. I did collect a lot of the other scents way back and use them sparingly as well, I guess I will have to break open a couple of other scents, even if they are more Christmas and Thanksgiving scents. Sad.
