This piece is very pretty but, as others have mentioned, the stopper does not make a fit seal with the decanter. This should only be filled right before use. Any unused portion of liquor should be placed back in it's original sealed container. Whiskey or in my case homemade Amaretto will oxidize quickly and the taste will change so dramatically you will not be able to drink it. I am going to attempt to make a clear silicone seal of this item soon. I will update with my results and findings.

Good overall decanter, although there are some flaws, mainly with the spout. I've found it very nigh impossible to pour without the the liquor dribbling/spilling when I stop pouring. It's not a lot, but every time I pour there's a small amount that dribbles down the side. This is my main complaint which results in the 4 star rating.

The decanter does hold 750ml (a fifth) which fills up nearly to the top.

This decanter is priced well, and looks pretty neat.
However, I own 3 other styles, and this unit does not actually hold as much as the box claims it will.
Most decanters hold about 1L -1.25 L, but this is noticeably smaller both in volume and over all size.

I did a capacity test, and it will not hold a full Liter. if you buy 750 bottles only, your good, but if you Pick up 1L bottles, you will have a hefty glass of whiskey left over after you fill the decanter.. Actually, I guess that isn't so bad after all.. ;)

The silver accent is nice, but is not perfect. looks like it will scratch if one is not careful.

Very disappointed!!! It arrived on time and not broken... but that's thier job so I'm not giving any points for that. The silver band on the decanter is discolored. The silver on the topper is discolored as well and has a wierd looking dip in it. The topper does not fit in the decanter and leans pretty far to either side.... for those wanting to buy this be aware that it is VERY SMALL!!!! I'm 6ft3 and it's no bigger than my hand. This is definitely not for a man's whiskey. It's small and girly. I suggest paying 50 bucks for something that is better made and has a nicer size to it.i do not plan on using for anything with an alcohol content as it will only evaporate...... very disappointed

I got this to hold my Listerine in the bathroom. It does that well and since it doesn't have a cork there isn’t an issue with pieces falling into the Listerine. However, the metal part on the ball and the band came very very scratched and blemished. It’s gotten worse over time and just looks very cheap.

The cap did seem to have some wobble, so I just bought a silicone stopper and used that. Silicone is nonreactive, and the white goes well enough with the decanter.

I wouldn't recommend this decanter. Its nice to look at, but looks better in the picture then it does in person. It was also smaller then I was expecting. It feels kind of cheap you pick it up and hold it, thin glass. The worst thing by far is the topper, doesn;t fit well. The topper is slightly asymetrical so it jiggles in the neck of the decanter, thus there is no seal. which I presonally dont like. Its cheapish in price, which is really the only saving grace. I would recommend spending money else where.

When I received the package it was in good condition so I was pretty stoked. After opening it I realized there were bubbles in the glass and the silver decanter top had been painted unevenly. The top also had paint chipped to the point it looked like it was dragged behind a truck. Just another cheap product IMO.
