This is an amazing lamp. It only uses 11 Watts of electricity and puts out a warm antique vintage glow. This is the lamp you see at night lighting sidewalk cafes. The screw base is the standard medium base - or the same one for most household lights. The lamp gets just barely warm when it is on. The glass is delicate and very easy to break. Have plenty of spares on hand.

The set of commercial grade lights came with exactly the right number of bulbs, no spares. Of course I broke two of them while hanging them up. A trip to Ace Hardware, hoping the bulbs would be reasonable was a wasted trip. At over $5 per bulb, well I could buy a box of 20 for almost the same price as two. And I'd have 18 extras.

Turns out these bulbs are exactly the same size and shape as the bulbs in that light set. I have a suspicion these bulbs are used in most of those sets, including the one available at Costco.

I love these bulbs! They have an old-fashioned appeal, and the light given off looks natural, no LED look whatsoever. While I do enjoy the energy savings on LED bulbs, I do not like the type of light they put off. We used these on lights hanging on our back porch, and they are beautiful. Not a single bulb has burned out since we hung them in June (five months so far). I don't even plan to replace them with Christmas lights this holiday season, as they are perfect as they are. Since there are 20 hanging off the porch, we don't need to use our porch lights anymore, and we are using these on timers to come on a dusk, and go off around bedtime. My husband cleaned the bulbs off after they had been hanging a few months and they looked brand new (since they are clear glass, the dust can accumulate and affect light output). These are my favorite outdoor lightbulbs ever.

These things are still going strong after a year. We don't turn them on every day, but not a single one has burned out yet. They come in nice packaging and look great on our pergola. They are bright enough to light up your area covered but not too bright that you think they need to be dimmed... However, I do have a dimmer switch that they work great with and it gives the lights a great look. Altogether it is quite a lot more wattage than you are used to using in your new LED bulbs, but nothing beats the look of a good incandescent bulb.

Great value but be aware that some of the bulbs' brass like screw parts aren't necessarily evenly attached, so out of the box of 20 count on perhaps a dozen of them being perfect and the rest askew. Additionally, the glass is dirty - not just outside where you can wipe it off, but also inside. Consider it atmospheric. Still a great value, and just dim enough to be able to enjoy seeing the lit wire without harm to one's eyes. The shape is also nice.
