Buy for looks, not quality

These shoes are OK. The quality of the leather on the front is worse than expected. The laces are too long and look a little funny, especially when compared to the picture. They are definitely on the narrow side and appear a little "dressier" than the standard boat shoe. Based on the quality of the materials, I don't expect them to wear very well. They are very comfortable though, The slip on style works well as the heel cup is well defined and holds your foot in place. I also like the feel of the very thin and flexible sole, its just like wearing slippers. I probably won't buy any shoes by GBX any time soon. In their defense, they were about half the price of other similar shoes..

I like the shoes a lot

I like the shoes a lot, only problem is they run big.
THEY RUN BIG.
I dont know if it was just the ones I got but I would have liked them to fit true to size they are a bit big. Other than that they are great.

I got suckered in by the relatively low price. These shoes are not a good value. The suede leather heel collapses under its own weight. They feel cheap. I have buyer's remorse and wish I would have ponied up the additional cash for a quality shoe.

If you are committed to a boat shoe and are resigned to the fact that they are all overpriced for what you get, go with a higher quality manufacturer for the extra money. I wish I had.

Comfortable as the womb of a wish dragon

These are really comfortable boat shoes. They do have options to adjust the fit a little bit. Sometimes shoes that are worn with no socks have a painful breaking-in period but these seems to be nice and soft. My only complaint is that the toe-box is a bit square and not quite what I would have chosen in a perfect world, but on a positive note it does set them apart from looking exactly like every other shoe on the market.
