This sharpener gives beautiful points like what you see in advertising. It uses a longer blade than the regular KUM sharpeners and I don't know if replacement blades are available separately, but since I've never actually worn out a KUM blade before, this doesn't bother me much.

The result is very similar to what I get from the KUM 2-hole long point sharpener, but this sharpener is more comfortable to hold and seems more durable. If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be this one.

This pencil sharpener works well on my prismacolor colored pencils. Sharpens to a nice long point. Don't buy if you are prone to breaking long pencil points, as long points are more fragile, especially on colored pencils.

I bought this sharpener to use with Polychromos pencils. Guess what?! They don't fit in this sharpener! Triangular shaped pencils also do not fit in this sharpener so I was a bit disappointed. You can use it with Prismacolors though. Sharpens wonderfully to a very long sharp point.
