The above review is for the Easy Spirit Gessica Flat, Taupe/Gold 9M.
After falling in love with this flat, I ordered the Gessica Flat, Black 9M. Tell you the truth, it is not the same. I am very much disappointed everyday that I wear it. It has far less cushioning support as did the taupe/gold. I always wonder why?? It's the same maker and product description. Only difference is the color. I get support, but not as much as what the taupe/gold offers.
Just be careful.

DO NOT BUY THESE! sure, they look nice, but after a day's wear, the sole completely separated from the shoe. poor quality and construction. it was as if they just used school glue to hold it all together.

Not the best. One size up maybe?

I wanted to like these. I really did. They had good reviews and I used that as a base but when I tried them on and wore them for longer than a few hours my right foot, which is a bit bigger than my left, felt extremely cramped, especially in the toe box. I wound up desperately wanting to take them off by the end of the day and even found myself taking them off during the day to try to alleviate some of the discomfort. When I first tried them on they were okay, but as the day wore on they got worse. My right toe was hurting really bad past taking them off, right into the next day.

They also rubbed against my ankles from the get go. I was hoping they'd get better over time since the style is really nice and the footbed seems okay as far as padding but I don't really want to wear them again due to the toe issue and the ankle issue. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Oh man, I've spent years and years in search of comfortable shoes for my wide feet! After breaking a bone in my big toe a few years ago, almost every pair of shoes I've worn has been painful by the end of the day and those few that are comfortable are both incredibly expensive and dowdy. But these are actually fabulous!!! I've worn them every day for two weeks now and have been in foot heaven. I'm back to buy more pairs in other colors! If you have extra wide feet, I highly recommend them!

Very stylish and very comfortable

This shoe was surprisingly comfortable from the first time I wore them. There was no breaking in period. It "gives" a little which kept it from rubbing on my heel or side of my foot. The front shiny part dresses them up a bit but they look good with skirts, capris or pants. I got them in black as I didn't care for the other colors. I purchased a size 7-1/2 as I am either a 7 or 7-1/2. I'd still go up half a size if your shoe size doesn't fluctuate based on style.

Perfect after one day of breaking in

They are true to size, I think. I waffle between 7.5 and 8, and other reviews convinced me to try the 8. It was too large in the heel and too long- 7.5 fits great. The first day of wear, the toe box felt a little snug on my left foot and my big toe was sore. I also got red marks over the top of both feet. However I have not had either of these issues since then.They are incredibly comfortable, well padded, and I can wear them at work all day (I'm on my feet most of the day) without any rubbing or discomfort. Highly recommend, and would advise ordering your true size.

Comfortable, lightweight flats

Comfortable, lightweight flats. However the shoes dig into the back of my heels. I've been wearing bandages on the backs of my heels as I try to break them in a bit. Overall, I like the shoes, but I'm glad I paid only $35 for my pair, rather than the typical retail price of $80.

UPDATE: Took a few stars off my initial review. After owning them for a few months and wearing them one or two times a week to the office, they are already starting to fall apart. The sole on the left shoe is starting to fall off, while the fabric is looking threadbare in several places. I started wearing no-show socks to cut down on foot sweat and squeakiness caused by sticky feet, but that makes them a half size too small. While I could have anticipated the socks+sizing issue, I'm pretty disappointed that they are breaking. As I said in my first review, I'm glad I did not pay $80 for these.

Great little flats!
