I bought this program for DJ work. With just playing music I am satisfied with it. But that's where it ends. If you buy this software and you are not familiar with "Crash Guard", you will be. It isn't what the label suggests. It doesn't guard against crashing, it causes the crash. I am running Windows 7 on a new laptop, so there is no excuse for it not to work. If you label songs (Title, artist, genre, etc...) while you are in the program, after about 8 to 10 labelings, it crashes. Mine has crashed no less than 100 times. I have been in communication many times with Virtual DJ and they requested my crash guard report (Which I sent to them), and the outcome is that they don't know why it happens but their fix is that I leave the program each time I want to label a song (I have over 5000 songs) and then return to it to play the music. This is totally bogus, and their attitude was just deal with it. Totally not my kind of company. If I didn't have so much time already invested in labeling songs with this format, I would just toss it in the can and start over. Buyer beware !!!

I wish I knew that you could only use your DJ controller for only 10 min. I bought this to do some recording of mixes. I read a bunch of reviews from here as well has on the Virtual DJ site. Nothing was mentioned about only being able to use your controller for 10 min.

This program is mis-represented from the get go. It should be called Virtual stereo not DJ. I finally got to using it for my DJ system and NOW i find out some retard programmer locks out the outputs so you can't use 2 sound cards. (Which is the point of the program so you can que songs.) Strongly NOT suggest this program version if you want to professionally DJ (Bar, club, etc.) and be able to hear the way you want/need to.

I wish I knew that you could only use your DJ controller for only 10 min. I bought this to do some recording of mixes. I read a bunch of reviews from here as well has on the Virtual DJ site. i had to message the support.. It seems you can not voice over when wanting to broadcast.. Asked two simple questions still have gotten no reply. Think Sam broadcaster is going to be my best choice until I get answers

FYI Encore & virtualdj.com neither support this software anymore. It will not run on Mac's with the new OS X Yosemite.
