Beautiful colors! I love variegated colors of embroidery threads and floss. I especially like that you can also get perl cotton in the same colors, so if you need a thread thicker than regular embroidery floss, you can use it as well.

I love to embroider and am always happy to see new versions of embroidery floss. This package contains variegated floss in "cool" colors that coordinate nicely. Color is true to photo. Same quality as other DMC flosses. Easy to use.

I really like the Color Variations Floss Packs. With hand-dyed floss costing so much these days, it is nice that DMC has come out with a product that mimics the look of hand and overdyed floss. Make no mistake, this is not the same as hand dyed. It does, however, give a nice varied look when you choose a variations floss to replace a regular floss or hand dyed floss in a project.

I also have problems with some hand dyed floss in that some of the dye process seems to remain in the floss and causes my hand to blister from touching it. I haven't had that problem with any of these DMC floss because they are made to the same standard of high quality that all DMC floss is made to.

The pack comes with a couple of designs so you can learn to use the variations floss before trying it on a different project. I really recommend the product as a fun way to liven up cross stitch projects.
