I put considerable effort into researching carts, as the first one I purchased from Staples was a "Smart Cart" and it fell apart after only three uses. Keep in mind, it fell apart walking home on a major street after a visit to the grocery store! And it was NOT overloaded. Just poor design, although it looked cool. But I didn't look or feel cool trying to drag my groceries home in a broken cart. Now, the Sandusky cart, I LOVE. The wheels are rubber, not plastic. The frame is pretty sturdy and it was surprisingly easy to put together. The only glitch was that it was shipped missing two of four "pins" needed to put it together. Grrrr. But I looked up the company online, called the customer service number and boy, was I surprised. I mean, this almost never happens, folks. I received the most excellent customer service. I mean like from the days of yore customer service. I was flabbergasted! They overnighted the missing parts. They followed up by phone to let me know they had been shipped and to expect it the next day. The women I spoke with on the phone were genuinely kind, concerned for my dilemma and willing to help. What?!?! It was outstanding!!! I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service department. They turned what could have been a bad experience into a good one. And I love the cart. Often I am asked where I got it, because oddly enough you cannot find a store that carries carts in Phoenix. I even checked Walmart and I hate Walmart. So when people enviously eye my cart and inquire as to it's origin, I tell them my story as I am telling you now and all are impressed. Seriously, customer service is a lost art. Good job, Sandusky! Thanks Amazon. :)

Once you layer the pin through the intricate holes in the back wheels, bend the pin to prevent the wheels from ever popping off. Once I did that, this was one of my most productive purchases of 2013. Works perfect for my wife and I grocery shopping in Chicago.

I live in a hi-rise and I'm 10 floors up even with the elevator I still need help with my groceries laundry etc. My cart id my lifesaver it is sturdy easy to put together and it holds a great deal of groceries or laundry and you can keep it private with the liner that comes with. Everyone asks where it came from. I love my cart.

It was fairly difficult to assemble, even though I only had to put on the wheels. The instructions were confusing, but I finally figured them out. It is supposed to be able to handle at least 100 lbs., but the wheels don't move well when you put more than 50 lbs inside. I got it for groceries, and I shop for two weeks at a time. It's very hard to maneuver when it's full.

This cart is the bomb for those of us needing help with our grocery shopping. We use it for our Costco (warehouse store) trips, which are one hr. each way on public transportation. For getting heavy, or a lot of items, home this is the cart. So far we've found it to be sturdy, easy to push, able to handle the heavy loads while getting on/off the bus, and able to take rough-handling while loaded, yet not fall apart. Only criticism is without turning front wheels it's a bit of a beast to turn and take around tight corners. But have found that carts with turning front wheels aren't as sturdy. So it's a trade off. Would highly recommend for those who can no longer lift their heavy-duty hauling, but can still push and shove their way home with a boat-load of groceries!

I am overall very pleased with this product. The cart is very sturdy, it moves very well forward and backwards. I do have some issues making turns and corners with it. I have used to to haul small heavy packages as well as large ones and it diffuses the weight very effectively. The liner is well made.

There have been other reviews stating that the cart has an odor, mind does not.

There is some amount of assembly required. Assembly is not extremely difficult or time consuming, you have to insert a front a rear bar, attach springs, washers, bolts, wheels, and pins. It takes less then 10 minutes and it easy to figure out.
