After watching a couple of youtube videos using this adapter with the wondermill jr, I realized quickly that this would not be an easy thing to use, but would be much better than hand cranking in most instances. Grinding wheat and other hard grains requires some serious torque, and a serious drill will be required to do this. Because there is so much torque required, you really have to muscle the bit towards the mill shaft to keep the bit on it. Also, you will want to watch your RPM on this, for two reasons. First, you don't want to heat up the flour too much and burn it, and second to save your stones from too much wear and tear, and grit in your flour. I gave it 4 our of 5 stars because, like other's have noted, there should be a way to lock the adapter in place to counteract the push off from the torque. I'm sure my next batch of peanut butter will be quick and easy with this adapter. I can't stress enough the need for a heavy duty drill for daily use for hard grains.

The metal is a little soft and already there is some wear after only a few uses. A great deal of pressure has to be applied to keep the bit secure ly attached to the drive shaft and any slippage causes the bit to spin and wear. But it does work.

Contrary to other comments, this device is not hard to keep on the grinder shaft. All it takes is a little steady pressure. However, the fit is loose enough that I think it will mangle the shaft in due course. I used a strong 1/2" drill and I had to run it faster than I would like to grind grain. Also, the handle removal bushing was too long. I would have had to cut off 1/8" to make it fit. I do not feel comfortable using this tool with my hand grinder. I think it will be very hard on it.

The Wonder Junior Mill is a quiet, peaceful machine that brings the kids running to help. Add this drill bit and you get an obnoxiously loud, skipping, completely menacing device. It is very difficult to keep the drill at or below the 160 rpms the warranty requires. Worse than that the drill bit pops off without warning. It isn't deep enough to hold onto the socket. Additionally, in order to get any performance from it you have to apply constant pressure on the drill. You can imagine the excitement this causes when the bit pops off the machine. In other words, it is loud, obnoxious and takes longer with this device than just operating the mill manually. Save your $30.

You can just as easily go to your nearest hardware store and pick up a hex-to-socket adapter and an appropriate sized socket. Less money that way. Careful though. Your drill has to be the right one. My 3/8" overheats doing nut butters.

It does the job. This will provide a lot of torque so make sure the mill is firmly mounted. I tried to hold the mill and the drill as I was testing the setup and the was incredibly stupid! You could hurt your self if the mill is not mounted correctly. Other than my foolish shenanigans this adapter can make quick work of grinding wheat.

As u r milling the grain. Even putting as much pressure as u can on the drill for the bit for it to stay on the staff it rides out and just keeps doing it. I have tried several things and it doesn't help!,
