Update: Microsoft updated the Office 2013 license. You may now transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you, but not more than one time every 90 days (except due to hardware failure, in which case you may transfer sooner). If you transfer the software to another computer, that other computer becomes the "licensed computer." The Office 365 Subscription products work on up to 5 PCs, Macs, and select mobile devices without license transferability limitations.


Please note: This item does not contain a disc; it is a product key card that requires a download from office.com. See steps involved below:

1. Once you have placed your order and received your product key card in the mail, locate your product key on the backside of the included card.

2. When you locate the product key, follow the instructions on the card, and go to https://officesetup.getmicrosoftkey.com/ to download and install.

3. Enter your 25-digital product key as prompted.

4. Sign in or create a Microsoft account.

5. Select your preferred country and language.

6. From your "My Account" page with Microsoft, select the item that you want to install.

7. Click the "Install" button to begin your download.

So far worked as planned, but then the HP Xbook I installed it in had a hard drive failure. Will see if I am able to reinstall if I end up having to do this after HP fixes the Xbook. Fingers crossed easy experience continues. I did get a CD as well.

Platform for Display: PC Download
This version is a downgrade from 2010 version. Tracking tasks through Outlook reminders has been removed in this version. The only way it would work with Outlook is through web app in SharePoint which is a monthly subscription fee service.

It does produce pretty graphs, eye candies for presentation which can be done in Excel. Microsoft offers a 60 days trial download, so try it out first. I'm glad I did.

I really need someone from amazon to supply me with the correct information to register this product. I can use it, I cannot use the full features until I register the product. Once the product becomes registered, I will be able to update my review.

What I received was a printout of a Receipt from Microsoft for the purchase, made out to another person. It contains links that are not visible. It shows a Product Key that I could not access because they are linked to that person's Account.

When I contacted the seller he could not tell me what to do: "yes that is the correct key,,… i also mailed you the product key paperwork from microsoft when the key was purchased…. you may have typed the key in for microsoft office you have to use the product key for microsoft project pro and it will work for you..". Tried several times and several links and finally gave up.

Total waste of time and money.
