When you first receive this, it will somewhat solid and sort of hard, but that's when you know its 100% organic and natural. Let me tell you, when you first open it up, you will smell a scent of chocolate!! Yummy scent-but not overpowering. Just a beautiful natural scent. I use a spoon to dig hard to get some out, and gently melt it on a sauce pan over a pot of boiling water..and I also mixed this with some almond oil and essential lavender oil,vegtable glycerin and a little bit of distilled water, and makes a very nice soft body cream!! I will re order this again because this is wonderful for skin!

This smells yummy,it is hard in the jar but once I dug some out gently with a paring knife it was fine.I melted some along with some shea butter and added sweet almond oil.Used double broiler method.cooled in refrig 20 min.used hand mixer to mix it up .put in plastic sealed containers.Excellent results! Makes great moisturizer!

This product makes you wonder how the other well-known brand of Cocoa Butter in a tub is processed. This unrefined cocoa butter is hard - you dont stick your finger in the tub and get a dollop! I used a knife to chunk it up and then I quickly became addicted to taking a chunk and rubbing it over my skin. Your body heat intantly softens it to go on smoothly. I highly recommend.

I bought this on impulse just to try it and have fallen in love with it. I have two teenage daughters who also use it all the time. We melt it in a saucepan, or just roll a chunk of it between our palms at night when we watch TV and rub it all over the rough spots. It softens the skin and smells great! We also put it in our hair for a natural conditioner. I would buy this again.

I have been messing around with and finding many uses for tropical oils since purchasing coconut oil to cook with.. I bought organic cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil, and beeswax pellets to make my own skin and hair care products after reading reviews here on Amazon... This unrefined cocoa butter is more like wax than butter and can be removed from the jar by shaving off thin layers off of the top.. The melting temperature is slightly lower than body temperature and it will melt in your hand. It has been my number one choice for use on sun and wind burned skin caused by using a motorcycle as my primary source of transportation, 100+ degree heat and cloudless Texas sky. I have noticed that my wrinkled 63 year old face is less wrinkled than my 40 year old son's is since using this product in conjunction with the other products I mentioned ordering.
