When we have leftover milk, juice, iced tea or hot soup, I plop one of these extra-small silicone sunflowers on the glass or cup and put it in the fridge. They seal like plastic wrap, don't smell or affect the flavor, and keep refrigerator smells out of the milk. They go from fridge to microwave, which is handy for hot beverages, or you can put them in the oven - something that I haven't needed to do with this size, but I have with the larger ones. They come out looking like they did when they went in. They are supposed to last forever. I'm inclined to believe that.

They're bright, pretty and versatile. When I'm not using them, I wipe them down with a little soap and water, dry them, and stick them on the refrigerator where they're decorative and handy. The smaller ones have never fallen off. I also have several large sizes on the fridge. Only one of the larger ones has fallen off, and only once. Then I discovered that the centers are like suction cups and help the flower stay put on a smooth surface.

I'll be stocking up for Christmas.

It does what it says, but the middle of the flower is heavy and weighs it down - it will sink into the bowl after a little while. So if you need one this large in diameter, I'd suggest getting one without a big heavy brown flower center. :o)

These are very attractive covers, and they form a really good seal. I also like that they have a little hole so that I can hang them on a stick-on hook that I placed on my refrigerator.

There is a small design flaw that bugs me. The little brown handles are hollow, so that the underside has a small hole. On the 4" covers that I use most, that hole is about the size of an M&M and very hard to get into to get clean. Another design I have is completely smooth on the side that's near the food which makes much more sense for hygiene. I also have the 8" Sunflower design which has a much larger handle ergo a much larger hole so that you can get your finger in to wash it out, but it's still annoying to have an unnecessary ledge that takes a little longer to wash around.

I have many Charles Viancin silicone lids and love them all but this one I do not recommend. The design makes its less functional, the handle is too large and flat which is hard to hold; while the petal is thinner than other's.

We bought these to replace the small plastic sheets of saran wrap that we cover our open cans of beans, carrots, etc that are in the fridge. They don't stay on well, nor do they provide anything like an airtight seal. Additionally, the lids themselves are way oversized for most standard cans, so they hang over and take up extra fridge space. Additionally, because they are so big, they get knocked off very easily. (Note our can opener leaves a nice top smooth edge that should have been easy to seal on. Back to saran wrap and rubber bands for us, maybe they'll make nice frisbees for the kids.
