I bought this for my Win7 laptop but it doesn't recognize it as a bluetooth device. Yes I have bluetooth enabled, and other bluetooth devices are recognized, just not this speaker. I tested it on my iPhone and it detected it immediately. So I know the thing works, but not for what I bought it for. I contacted tech support and they were fast to respond but weren't able to get it working. They also didn't know what name it should display when it is recognized. They did say I could return it. I really wanted a wireless speaker for my laptop and this is the only one I liked the looks of (and a single USB wire).

The sound is decent as is battery life. My only complaint is that it goes into standby mode if you pause for a few minutes. Once in standby mode, I have to restart the speaker to get it to connect again. I'll pause the sound to take a call or if someone walks in the room, and I have to get up, walk over to where it sits, and restart.

I've tried it with 2 different phones and a tablet. I've tried to disconnect/reconnect via BT through the device, but the only way I can get it to connect is by restarting. If someone knows an easier way, please let me know, and I'll modify the rating.

I didn't buy this from Amazon, I picked it up at Micro Center while checking out. I wanted something for camping with my smart phone. I have to say I'm very impressed with this little guy. It works fine with my Bluetooth connection and has worked up to 25' away without any problems. I use the PowerAmp app on my Android to play my music and sounds great even at higher levels, haven't noticed any distortion. Definitely recommended.
