I bought this ash tray because like most other people I don't want my $50 Slide being broken while somebody tries to tap the ash out, well this is no longer a concern, the rubber is nice and soft as not to break the glass but firm enough at the same time to knock the ash out of the bowl, the only thing I changed was to poke a toothpick into one of the rolling paper slots on the holder to make a de-bowler.

I love mine and would order another one as a gift in a heartbeat.

BEST ashtray I've ever had. Not only does it look cool, it does the job exactly as stated on the box and in the description.
It looks better in person than in the picture.

You can remove the holder on the side with ease, if you desire. The Kind Ash Cache can even go in the dishwasher.
It will snuff out your smoking material, even if you prefer to roll your own. Ta Da! No lingering odors or smoke.
Dig the color too.
The only thing they could have added was felt feet for the bottom or another dishwasher-safe material. The ashtray body is stainless steel it could scratch furniture.
EASY PEASY Fix: Dollar Store felt feet. You get at least 20 of them.
Remove them if you stick this portion in the dishwasher, then replace with new ones.
I'm borderline OCD so you may not care.

I'd definitely recommend this ashtray for serious smokers. Hell, I'd recommend the Ash Cache to silly smokers as well.

I don't have a glass pipe; I smoke tobacco pipes. Most of my pipes are briar or corncob, but I do have a few clay pipes and a meerschaum. I feel safe using this ashtray with all of them. I wanted something cheap and sturdy that had a built in knocker. This ashtray is great. It's easy to clean, works well, and is well-made. I don't use the little side attachment, but that's a clever idea for those who want that feature. I like that the ashes and dottle fall into the deep recess of the bowl but aren't exposed where they can make a mess. It's also designed in a way to be very hard to make a mess. It can't tip over and if you drop the ashtray, it's not going to break or make a big mess. It cleans up well and looks like new again. Unlike a cork knocker, the silicone knocker doesn't discolor and can't break or crumble. Highly recommended for pipe smokers of any kind.

I bought this for a few reasons. You can hit glass in it with worrying about breaking it and that if glowed. The reason I wanted an ashtray that would glow is for easy as hung while watching movies in the dark. In these two cases this ashtray performs well. I usually put it under a light for a few minutes before it goes dark and it stays fairly lit for the length of a movie. It also not to bright, so no issues being a distraction. I'm taking one star away because I feel they could have put a cigar or cigarette holder in stead of the lighter holder thing. But in all I'm happy with my purchase and know I'll get great use out of it.

Its a pretty cool little ash catcher. Its circumference is about that of the top of a Standard Red Plastic Cup. The attachment it comes with is a cool idea but all in all pretty pointless. I have to force my self to remember to leave a lighter in it. I even searched around to find extra bowl pieces to just to use the slots. The spot for the "poker" can't hold any poker that I own and rolling papers look ridiculous sitting in their slot. Id rather just pay less than have the attachment. All in all I do feel incredibly safe taping all my glass objects on it. So Job done. Thanks.

Great idea on paper but terrible when used in real life. The light colored silicone gets dirty and stained really quickly and it will but if there is still come cherry when you cash out your pipe. Smoking paper things will burn it and the space between the center silicone and outer silicone is too small and ash clumps are always getting stuck. The black thing on the side is a waste and I took off the outer silicone ring so the ashes could fall in. A glass or plastic ash tray with a wine core glued in the center works much better.

I love my Kind Ash Cache! It keeps the ash inside so that it is easy to transport from room to room without worrying about spilling. I can tap my glass bowl on it aggressively and do not have to worry about it breaking. When it gets too dirty, I throw it in the dishwasher after emptying it, although cleanings are few and far between due to the lack of smell and size of the cache. I use the little rig on the side to hold my bowl while I am packing it and my lighter. I have The Bowl Buddy by Happy Daddy and I can just rest it inside the cache, the clean end sticking out, so that I can easy grab it when it's time to get some of the gunk out of the bowl. To reiterate, I love this thing!
