Pay attention to the phrase "three sections" One-third of the book is ruled pages, one-third grid, and one-third is plain paper. Seems OK for fountain pen ink from a medium nib.

I bought this out of curiosity about the "Sugercane Paper." The paper is good, though ink from a pen with a wet flow, e.g., a Pelikan Souveran 1000 Black Fine Point Fountain Pen - 987388, bleeds through the page.

I cannot recommend this product since you can buy the Black n' Red Hardcover Executive Notebook, 11.75 x 8.25 Inches, Black, 96 sheets/192 pages (D66174), a notebook of the same size with better paper, the same number of pages, and solider binding, for much less.

I've kept journals for 40+ years, in all kinds of things. This one is particularly nice. A nice size, good paper. The ribbon place keeper pulled out within a few days, but I don't require that stuff. The only real gripe I have is the shipping cost. It doubled the price of the product. I doubt I'll go there again. There are better deals at Amazon than that.
