Because I change so many appointments I wrote in pencil. The erasers at the end of the pencils are usua[ly hard and just smear the words. Helix erasers keep it clean and smudge free. Besides, I bought the Helix in the first place because I like to do colored pencil art and the Helix is indispensable for that. So glad I could get the refills at Amazon,.

I thought I had found a really great deal for the price of the erasers, only to find out that these eraser refills do not fit the Helix auto eraser model that is most commonly sold. I had already opened the package and when I went to use them they were way to big to fit into the metal slot of the eraser. The correct refill size is very difficult to find. I think I might just get another brand of auto eraser and avoid this hassle.

Work great! I use them in my Pentel Graph Gear 1000, although not a direct replacement (too fat)- I rub them on rough construction paper to make them thinner. The Pentel eraser refills are way expensive compared to these, and not to mention they don't work as good either.

This rates zero stars, if only that was a rating one could give! They do NOT fit the Helix Auto Eraser-much too "fat" to fit in the sleeve! I have four erasers and have tried them in each with the same result (thinking perhaps they had changed the size a bit over the years). My only other auto eraser takes refills that are even smaller in diameter, so this purchase is completely worthless and it makes me very unhappy to waste money like this!
