The author Brian Benton takes a new approach.
He speaks to you, as if he were sitting with you.
In this world of fast paced rapidly changing computer based technology,Brian Benton masterfully explains in detail the mechanics behind autocads version 2013. With a touch of humor he will not bog you down with too much detail. I'm just finishing the first disc (basics) and will post again during or after disc 2. (Advanced)
Just want to mention, most other company's authors speak too fast and ASSume you already know things, even when it is a beginners course.
Brian Benton breaks the mold in this course.

I Refreshed AutoCAD capabilities.

I used this software to refresh my understanding of AutoCAD. I have used AutoCAD for decades, but the company I work with didn't always have the latest software. I gave it 5 stars because I learned so much, even from Learning Autodesk AutoCAD 2013. For example, I never saw the Oops command and the Overkill command in the ribbon, but they can save you lots of time, as can using the shift key with chamfers. I realized the advantages of setting layouts can be to save time, especially when publishing. You also realized how much time you can save typing in commands, using blocks correctly, and toggling with the function keys.
Another feature I liked was that you could preview a few sample lessons from the web site. I learned enough from them to realize how much I didn't know.

Don't Buy if you use mac.

its great if you use PC version of autocad. It says its for MAC, it will play on Mac, however, they use the PC version to teach during the video and Mac version is very different. I still have not been able to locate most of the items they have shown in the video. Not a good purchase if your a MAC user.
