Once you get everything up and running the service is fine. However, if you need to call their customer service, be ready for some frustration. Activating my phone took a little while, and the customer service was pretty bad. The other issue I had was when reloading my minutes before the billing cycle ended. I chose to upgrade my plan 2 days before the cycle ended, and the upgrade was only applied to those 2 remaining days. I was hoping to restart my billing cycle, but customer service said there was no way to do that, and was quick to offer to terminate my account and refund the money. I agreed and then was charged for another month of service and the service was extended. I'm going back to Virgin Mobile where they let you restart your month whenever you want. If you still insist on going with this company I suggest you just send them emails instead of calling them with any questions or requests. The call center is useless and frustrating, but whoever they have working the emails actually gets things done.

I got on Ultramobile's unadvertised anniversary plan. I just paid $99 for the whole year for phone service. It is equivalent to their $19/mnth plan. Been with ultra 2.5 months now. I am happy and coverage has been good. Customer Support is overseas but they are very good and wait time has always been under 10min.

For one penny, received SIM super fast and was able to use it right away on my LG 4G mobile bought overseas. Clear operating instructions, and so far I really can't complain about coverage, even out in the wilds of central Virginia. $20 a month for unlimited talk & text PLUS I can call France and texts friends all over the world at no extra cost. Some data is included, but I don't tend to use that. Yep, glad I switched and would surely recommend.

Works fine on a Blackberry for voice and text. Cannot use data plan as Ultra does provide support for data for Blackberry.

My husband and I travel extensively overseas and thought purchasing and activating this SIM will help us maintain communication with the relatives. I was totally mistaken. This service only provides service from US to other country and not the other way around. Wasted my money and hope this review can help someone from making the same mistake I did.

1. TERRIBLE COVERAGE:
2. POLITE COSTUMER SERVICE BUT LACKS TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE.
3. PHONE OUT OF SIGNAL FOR 90% OF DAY, REGARDLESS OF YOUR LOCATION.
4. NO SIGNAL IN WOODED AREAS EVEN IN THE CITY, BAD SIGNAL IN RURAL AREARS.
5. CALLS STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TALK.
6. YOU HAVE TO PLACE A CALL MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE IT GOES THROUGH.
7. FRIENDS, FAMILY AND EMPLOYER ALWAYS COMPLAIN OF NOT BEING ABLE TO REACH ME.
8. THEIR DATA DOES NOT ROLL OVER, SO AFTER NOT USING IT BECAUSE OF NO SIGNAL, YOU END UP LOSING IT AGAIN.
9. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN SEND VIDEO AND PICTURES, BUT THATS NOT TRUE.
10. EACH TIME YOU CALL THEM OUT ON ISSUES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BLAME IT ON YOUR PHONE. IN FACT THEY WILL ASK YOU TO TURN YOUR PHONE OFF, THEN WAIT FOR 10 MINUTES AND TURN IT BACK ON. THAT USAULLY FIXES THE PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, BUT GOES BAD AGAIN.

DETAILS
I have been with ultra mobile for just one month, and i am not using this service anymore. You will expect the network to get better when you move to urban areas, but thats not true with ultra mobile. If you live in Durham NC, then please stay away from ultra mobile. you will miss important calls, and will get very angry because you have to place a call many times before it goes through. They claim to use the at&t towers, but their service does not get better anywhere in the city, country or while on the road. Its been two weeks now and i can only recieve but cant send text messages. this month i was without internet for three days, and this happened twice. I have called customer service, but they have not been able to resolve the issues. Their customer service is made mostly of new recruits. And each time i called and asked to get my serviced fixed, the said everything looks good on their end, so the technical issues must be caused by my phones(thats not true since i have a latest htc smart phones).
