Great for creating butterbeers for little Potter fans

A friend of mine recreated butterbeers for his daughter and shared his recipe. Vanilla icecream, cream soda and butterscotch syrup. I bought this and it was a thing of beauty. I saw stars as it entered my mouth and flowed dreamily into my esophagus. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a similarly rapturous experience.

Excellent Flavor. Odd Consistency.

The flavor of the syrup is excellent. It has a strong, natural vanilla flavor without being overly sweet. It adds a nice compliment to my espresso drinks.

However, the consistency of the syrup is why I am giving it three stars. The syrup in the bottle I received is partially crystallized (like a bottle of old honey gets). It is so thick that it clogs the pump sometimes and it is hard to get the syrup to dissolve in my coffee. I don't know if this is only a problem with the bottle I received or the vanilla syrup in general because the Amoretti Butterscotch syrup I ordered at the same time is excellent and doesn't have any of these problems.

UPDATE: Changed to 4 stars. Amoretti has some of the best customer service that I have come across. A couple days after posting this review, I got a call from a representative of Amoretti. He explained that the reason the syrup is thicker than I was expecting is because they use real vanilla beans in the syrup. The pieces of vanilla bean can make the syrup thicken.

Amoretti clearly cares about customer satisfaction and takes pride in their products. They offered to send me another flavor of syrup, which, like their butterscotch syrup, is smooth and delicious.

As I mentioned in the original review, the flavors of all the syrups I have tried from Amoretti have been excellent. You just have to be prepared for some of their syrups to be a little thicker than some other brands. Now that I know why the syrup is thicker, I will be buying from them again.

Highest quality syrup around, makes excellent SB Green Tea Frapps!!

This is my second purchase of Amoretti Honeydew Melon syrup. Their customer service is above and beyond, I would not hesitate to do business with them again. The Honeydew Melon syrup is of very high quality and has a nice vescocity to, it is not watered down like many other brands. It has a crisp, clean taste and works perfectly to make Starbucks Green Tea Frapps at home! We love this stuff and will surely be purchasing more through Amoretti when needed. If you are wondering if it is worth your purchase, no need to worry as it is truly worth the nominal price they charge. It comes wonderfully packaged in a nice clear box with it's own pump for easy dispensing. The bottle itself is very attractive, and it is all well wrapped to ensure safety during shipping. All I can say is everything all around is high quality from this company. They do not scimp on their products or their desire to provide the best customer service.

Like better than the regular pumpkin pie syrup!

My husband and I purchased a bottle of pumpkin pie syrup a few months back and loved it so much we ordered another bottle last month. The bottle we ordered last month seemed to have separated, which resulted in a very concentrated amount of syrup in my coffee. (I now slightly mix my bottle before opening it) I contacted amoretti via email to let to know expecting nothing in return. I was shocked at the wonderful customer service I received! Within minutes I recieved an email from an owner asking me for my phone number. I sent an email back and received a phone call in minutes. He was extremely friendly and helpful! He told me a little bit about their process of making their syrups and offered to send me another bottle of the creme pumpkin pie (I like it even more than the regular pumpkin pie!) he ALSO sent full bottles of creme vanilla, creme caramel and some samples of their vinegars and martini mix overnight priority! I have also purchased the peppermint and all of their syrups are wonderful. I would highly recommend this syrup as well as this company!

Closest thing to use for your own melon flavored soda

The main reason I purchased this was because I was looking for something that's as close as can be to Fanta's melon soda. I love that brand's melon soda and always look forward to drinking it whenever I'm able to visit Japan, but it's pretty much impossible to find that particular flavor in the states, unless you happen to order it from an auction website, which would be pretty silly, since it doesn't make sense to actually buy something like that online that's obviously being sold over-priced for what it is.

As a previous reviewer noted, the flavor of this is pretty light and is not strong (even after properly stirring), so according to your preference, you may have to use just a little extra than what is recommended. Although I have to admit that this does not taste anything like Fanta's melon soda, it is in my opinion, the closest thing that I could find (that you could make on your own with the addition of sparkling water), and the good thing about these syrups is that you can control how sweet it's going to be, versus buying a can/bottle of soda at the store which has way too much sugar and/or HFCS in it. Mixing this with sparkling water gives just a faint green color, nothing like that intense green you'll get with Fanta's melon soda, which in retrospect may also be a good thing, since it means that there's not too much (or according to the ingredients list, any) artificial coloring used for this syrup.

Taste-wise, I felt that the flavor of the syrup does taste as similar as can be to (and remind me of) melon, and I personally didn't think it tasted bad or that it left a weird/unpleasant aftertaste at all, but then again, everyone's taste perceptions are different and as the saying goes, you can't please everyone.Read more ›
