I have a pug who loves to pull the stuffing out of toys. This toy is nice because it is well built and no so stuffed. It has a squeaker in the mid-section that has held up to some hard chewing. The legs, arms and tail are skinny and crinkle, they hold up tugging. This is one of the first toys that she has had that hasn't had to make a trip to the infirmary withing the first week. She has had this for more than 6 months now and it is still going strong, will probably buy another one when her birthday comes around.

I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars for this product for my dogs. I have two large dogs who love noisy toys, especially ones with squeakers, honkers, or crinkly stuff on them. They aren't very hard on their toys, so that wasn't a concern for me. However, I don't think this toy would hold up very well with dogs that love to chew on or rip things apart. The arms in particular seem a bit fragile for dogs that like to tear into things. The squeaker is a bit more akin to a honk than a squeak, which makes it a bit easier on the ears than a high-pitched squeaking that usually comes from squeaky toys.

The reason that I can't say that this product is perfect for my dogs is that the crinkly arms of the monkey toy are not very crinkly. I recently bought a cabbage-shaped squeaky toy from a pet store near my house and the crinkling that comes from it is much louder. That was a bit of a disappointment, as my dogs tend to get jealous when they don't have similar toys for both of them. Still, I think it's a cute toy and my dogs seem to like it for the soft and squeaky qualities.

I bought the large size and it seems like a good fit for my boarder collie black lab mix as well as my chow chow newfoundland mix, just as a reference for what size to get for your dogs.

Great concept, poor materials.
The toy is so cute and has all the features that keep our 6lb. Chihuahua mix fully engaged.
HOWEVER, the material used for the body was not made for this purpose.
The seams started pulling apart day one. A trip to the Infirmary revealed a Surgeon would be required. The Surgeon pronounced the condition Inoperable, so Purple Crinkle Monkey will be with us until we can no longer just pick up the pieces.

They all took them absolved them. They have held
up well considering. That we are talking about four

My dog loves monkeys for some reason. She tears up alot of stuffed animals; however, she plays and plays with Mr. Monkey and has not punctured anything on him yet. I love the crinkley sound his arms make and how cute he is. Cassie keeps Mr. Monkey on the sofa. She has a corner of the sofa where she puts her favorite toys, and Mr. Monkey is there. Great toy for doggies.

I ordered this because a bigger dog took my Pomchi's toy. . I came up to him to take a picture and he thought that I came to take it from him so he put his paw on his toy. He loves it. She also killed the squeaker within a day (no complaints here), the rattle is quieter than expected (which is nice), and the crinkle arms can withstand tug o' war between my 45lb Catahoula mix and my 60lb Husky/Golden mix. Anything that can withstand that is okay in my book.

I go through A LOT of stuffed animals with my dog, he is small in stature but rips stuffed animals up no issues at all, and sincerely and truly I am not sure what exactly it is about this particular stuffed animal, but it has lasted the longest out of any other stuffed animals we have tried, BY FAR actually.
In fact it lasted so long, we picked up the smaller purple version of the same toy just so my dog could have two stuffed animals that lasted a long time. The only difference was the actual appendages of the smaller version were all smaller, so eventually my dog was able to chew off one of the ears on the smaller version, but that alone took weeks. The X-Large version, which I believe I am reviewing, has still lasted a very, very long time.
Also for the record, this one I ordered off of Amazon was a back up to one we purchased at Kohls. Since my dog loves it so much we figured we should have the same stuffed animal as a back up once his original one needed to be taken away, and that has yet to happen. We still have this one we ordered from Amazon in the same plastic bag that it originally shipped in.
