I tried to order one of these from their website but it gave no option for international shipping. I then found them on Amazon and ordered straight away. I am very happy with this and I have installed it on my cars dashboard. It blends in nicely, I don't have an ugly universal windscreen mount clogging up my screen and I can attach and remove my phone in an instant. It comes with all the attachments you need although I did use a different screw that had a nut on to allow me to fix it to my dashboard. All other screws are for wall mounting only and therefore do not need a nut to be tightened from the rear.
The grip is very strong when aligned with the supplied metal disc (comes with two) but it will still attach even when not fully aligned. This happened once and when I pressed my phones home button the phone tilted and came free from the magnet. Maybe there would be a stronger hold but I use an Apple iphone slim leather case which hides the metal disc and so there is not direct contact between the disc and the magnet. My phone has not fallen at all and it always holds in whatever position you want - even on bumpy roads.
I also intend to try this with my iPad in future. The magnet does feel strong enough but until I test it I cannot give any personal recomendations for this. I might try the Magbak magnets for this especially as the magnets are very slim and discrete. But with the shapes of iPads changing all the time I would have to keep buying a new model of Magbak each year too as they are not universal like the iOwall.
The only downside to the iOwall is that if I want to upgrade my phone I would have to remove the metal disc as I don't think I can buy these discs separately? Like I say I can't buy these direct from iOwall.Read more ›
