My daughter's school required three scientific grid lab notebooks. I think they were $15 at the school's bookstore. Ouch. These were minimally different and were accepted by the teacher. I was careful to get the scientific grid, so I think the difference was primarily the binding. I think the spiral binding will be better, anyway. It will lie flat more easily.

Thought I will need it for my lab but I rarely use it. It's kind of too bulky, but I think it's good enough as a lab notebook. For this price, however, I recommend trying the other cheaper version, esp if it is lightly used.

This product is great. My daughter uses this for her chem lab reports and she says this is a convenient notebook. The duplicates make it easier for her to turn in her reports without physically giving the whole notebook.

I used to have a flip lab book, with the binding at the top. Not only was flipping up annoying, but it wasn't spiral bound, so after 10 pages, it was hard to keep flat on the lab table. This is an amazing book, especially for the price. I like having a grid, it makes it easy to draw diagrams and keep lines straight.
I would definitely buy this again (and probably will once I use up the pages in my first one!)

So much cheaper than the university bookstore's version, with enough pages for 2 semesters of organic chemistry lab! This notebook in general is very well made, with plastic covers in addition to laminate paper covers. It withstood quite a few spills with no damage to my notes. The pages and binding are sturdy and it contained everything I needed.

Beyond what I was hoping for in a lab notebook. The only thing I could possibly want that it doesn't offer is for the duplicate page to be adhered lightly so it doesn't shift around. But everything else is fantastic. Table of constants, laminated grid page divider for dry-erase use, also has inch and mm/cm ruler along edge, and more.

I bought what was labeled as the 8.5x11 50 page carbonless duplicate notebook... I was sent the standard version instead. I would return the item for the right one but, considering I have lab tomorrow, I'll use what I have. Good thing 2 day shipping was free.

Otherwise, nice notebook. Seems build sturdy but we'll see how this notebook lasts through the semester.

Does not include carbonless copy paper, which is all I need it for, so that's frustrating. If you don't need the copy paper then this will work for you, and it is formatted nicely.
