Excellent product, it corrected a great amount of stains and scratches due to my contractor not being careful after the initial install. It brought back a very deep luster and finish. Be aware it does take some time as you are polishing marble and it is best if you work one tile at a time. For my particular job it required approximately 5 to 8 minutes per tile to produce a deep luster that looked to be close to the original finish of the new tile material.

Our son threw up on our new marble floor in our bath. We cleaned up the mess, what was left was a definitive blotch on 1/2 our bathroom floor. There was no staining, it looked dull and you can see the outline. Marble is a soft natural stone, so I figured there was a way to buff it out. I searched and found lots of demonstrations of polishing powders to bring back the polished look after an acidic solution was poured on a marble sample. The best was a restoration of marble after it had been damaged by muriatic acid.

I even had a marble fabricator give me his opinion on how to restore the finish. He said I'd have to have it professionally done. They would sand it down to a hone finish, then use a machine to polish it. How much would that cost? I didn't even ask. But I'm sure it would not be cheap. He said that eventually over time the marble will eventually dull anyways from use.

Then I found this stuff and it's like ultra fine silica.
I tried it on one area first, and it was like magic. The marble was shiny again. The etch marks were gone. You can see the splotch marks in the first photo and then after I polished a few tiles in that area.

If you watch any videos on polishing marble, it's a wet sanding technique.
I sprinkled a bit of the powder with a spoon on a few of the tiles, then I got a spray bottle of water and applied some water over the powder, then I used a paper towel and began rubbing the area in a circular manner. you don't need a polishing machine if it's a small area. Just some elbow grease. It's also easier to control if you do it by hand.

This stuff is great. I figure we'll use it from time to time just to restore the shine.

I purchased this product to polish my marble tile floors. I scooped about 1/4 cup and dumped on the floor, poured about a 1/2 cup water and used an Oreck Orbiter floor machine with a yellow polishing pad and worked on a 4x4 area for about 10 minutes and saw a significant difference in the shine, before you could not see the light at all on the tile, now you can see the light. I am assuming if I worked the area even longer, eventually it would be back to it's former brand new shine. I would highly recommend this product. I have never worked with this kind of product before and saw great results. I was careful not to breath the stuff as it does smell quite toxic, and didn't get it on my skin.

It left deep scratches in my tile. However, it did give it a satin shine that would not have been achieved any other way. Overall I'm pleased and would buy again. If more of the powder was included in the tub, I'd give it a 5 star. Oh, the tub was not sealed and the lid came right off straight out of the box. Raisins come more secure than this stuff.

Pros:
Table spoon amount per 4x4 to 6x6 sqft is all that is need any a time.
White 3m gloss pad and this stinky powder is all that's needed, after a good preclean of course.
In the right light, it looks wet.
When a squeegee is used to scrape away the slurry, you can instantly see that beautiful results.

Cons:
Stinks like boat resin
Different sized granules caused some pretty severe scratches
Difficult to remove from grout lines
A great deal of time must be spent to achieve any kind of shine. On a 12x12 tile it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get a shine. Multiply that by x amount of tiles, that's a weeks worth of work or more.
Don't breath/smell it!
Must open every door and window for ventilation, because it stinks. Seriously, it's stinky.
Again, it stinks

Professional charged $1100 to polish marble floors in our new home. They did a good job but not great. So when it was time to get another good gloss I bought the Koblenz from Amazon about $250 and Tenax. Wow what an awesome job I was able to do to bring back the high polish. Warning- wear a mask when using this product the dust will gag you when you first put it down. I plan to buy a used floor polisher to make the job go faster and will continue to use Tenax!!! The pictures doesn't do them justice.

Works OK but should be used with a heavier, professional polisher rather than a grinder/orbital polisher. Made the floors looks nicer but I will need to re-do them with a rental machine from Home Depot.

Ok folks, I read the bad reviews so was nervous about using this stuff, it is clear to me now that they did not know what they were doing or did not put enough time into it. first off, get a face mask, you do not want to breath this stuff in, it's a fine powder of what i don't know, but it burns if you breath it. second, this takes time ! it took me about 4 hours to do about 36 square feet, you need to have a squeezgie to keep checking to see if you have a high gloss or not. anyways, this stuff does work, and works well, but you need to have patience, and keep buffing until you have a high mirror like gloss. I used it on my kitchen marble floors that started out very dull and scratched, thought for sure I'd have to rip them out. this saved me a lot of money. thanks !
