Ordered this in X-Small even though the chart suggested I order a small, and I'm so glad I did because I can feel it starting to loosen up already after only a couple of weeks of wearing it. I wear it for about 30 mins a day, and although I'm not sure if it has actually improved my posture, it does feel like my back is straighter whenever I'm wearing it. However, I always have to do quite a bit of adjusting and smoothing out the sleeves after I put it on because it twists and rolls a lot as you slide it down your back (for me, the fabric never looks as smooth as it does in the picture). And I wouldn't wear it outside where you'll be seen in public, because although the packaging says that the band looks "fashionable" enough to wear over a sleeveless or short-sleeved top, it is NOT. Plus, it's still hard to move your shoulders while you're wearing it (possibly because I purposely ordered it in a smaller size, but I feel like if it were any larger, it wouldn't really do any good for my posture).

I am a physical therapist and work in a rehabilitation center and I know how important it is to maintain good postural alignment to prevent injury when lifting patients. I put the Str8-n-Up on when I get home from work and it feels great and reminds me to keep my shoulders in a good position. It really helps relieve any tension I may feel in my neck and upper trap muscles. The only problem I find with this product is the hard plastic piece can dig into the shoulders when sitting in a chair and can be uncomfortable.

I purchased this directly through the manufacturer and had really high hopes for it even though there weren't any reviews posted. I just need a gentle reminder sometimes and thought this would do the trick. Unfortunately, it isn't strong (tight?) enough to do much of anything. I twisted the fabric about a million times (okay, slight exaggeration) in hopes of making it work, but no-go. However, on the plus side...their customer service is EXCELLENT. In fact, they issued my refund immediately. I appreciated that and had hoped I'd be posting a good (first) review on here, but unfortunately I am unable to do so. I think if they make this with a fabric that has less give then it will work much, much better.

This product is made of a band of spandex like cloth about 6 inches wide which is wrapped around the shoulders and back and held in place via a plastic clip shaped like the number 8. It's easy to wear and it seems like it does work -- I only tried it once since the size I got should have been one size smaller for a tighter firmer shoulder lift. For this kind of material and design, in my opinion, this product is overpriced and would be more reasonably priced at half its current price of $38.

Well, I just got this yesterday, but I thought I'd share my initial thoughts. I ordered a size smaller than what the size chart suggested to take stretching of material into consideration. Also, I had read many reviews from other sites before purchasing and complaints were it being too loose. It was comfortable to wear and definitely helped keep my shoulders in proper position. I have neck and upper back muscle spasms caused by stress and poor posture. I bought this to retrain myself to have the proper posture that I had as a kid riding horses. Taking a two-fold approach of posture correction and stress control will hopefully correct the issue. I will post and update later on my progress. I wore it 2 times yesterday for about 30 min each and once this morning for the same amount of time and I am remembering to keep my shoulders back already because of how good it felt while wearing it. The pain seems to be lessening little by little. I don't expect a miracle just from this brace alone, but with consistency I expect results.

The only cons I can see so far is not being able to wear it under clothing, I think it would just be too bulky in the back. The other is when you lift your arms over head, the brace tends to slip up off of the shoulder and you need to re-adjust it, but not a big deal. I just plan on wearing it when I'm not too active. I do not suggest wearing during exercise for the same reason unless you are just running or walking when you don't have to lift your arms.

I purchased this product to hopefully help my posture and so far, I like it for the most part.

Pros:
1. directions are good and easy to put on
2. it's washable
3. I can adjust the tension so I can gradually up the tension as my posture gets better (hopefully)

Cons:
1. The plastic piece on the back is a bit uncomfortable. I think i would be better if it was a flexible plastic.
2. It can only be used while doing stationary work because if I move around, the shoulder portions slide and I have constantly readjust.

Overall, I think it's good product and hopefully I will help me in the long run.

my shoulders are pulling forward. so i was looking for something that can help me pull the shoulders back to the normal place. i looked every single product offered on amazon and i believe i made a good choice. it works just i expected. already felt it worked on my shoulders after the first time i wore it for 30 minutes. now i try to wear to for 30 min every day. feel big difference.
