I didn't realize but seemed to recall someone mention the zipper... I now understand!
The zipper pull is a nylon string that can come off the zipper mechanism. The pull is not fixed to it and actually came off while I unzipped the case!
I like the bag, the weight design compartments, but if I knew what a poor zipper design it was I would have kept looking.
In the end I will crazy glue the clasp so it can not come out... but for $70.00 why am I fixing anything???
Really sad that they would produce this like this.

Don't buy this bag.

Bought bag 27 Aug 2014. Took it on 5 trips total. Nice leather handstrap - one attaching to back side of bag (one w/o zippers) ripped off when pulling off of a luggage cart. Very annoying, 4th trip had just started. I didn't have another bag and 5th trip was 5 days away.

Once side of handle pulled clean off the bag, other side still attached. Might be defect, might be sign of how bag is constructed. Now it's time to see what a lifetime warranty means to Moible Edge. Will update on results if they are positive.

Prior to the handle coming detached I liked the bag a great deal - light weight, holds a lot and yet looks thin (unless you cram it full of stuff - then it looks like every other overstuffed computer bag - unfortunately not a bag of holding)

NOTE: I bought a very nice shoulder strap to use with this bag even though people said it came with a 'nice' strap - it comes with an 'ok' strap - laptop, mouse, powers supply and a few cables and anything's heavy. The sucky part is that the strap I bought separate (Victorinox Comfort Fit Shoulder Strap) wouldn't snap into the tinly little shoulder strap latches.

This bag is well built and seems to be very strong. The carrying strap is very comfortable. It has plenty of pockets and places to easily get at your tablet and cell phone as well as places to keep accessories and cables and chargers. The scan fast feature is excellent. Just unzip the case open it and lay it on the TSA scanner and no need to remove the laptop and put it in a separate tray. The bag has a lifetime warranty which also makes it a great buy.

This my second ScanFast. This is a great briefcase if you are looking for a solution to not taking your laptop out of a case during the TSA security check at the airport. After the first one was worn out, I looked at other options before buying the second time. I still believe, for the money, this is still the best briefcase of its type available today. Check it out.

Great briefcase for those of you who travel. Bag is light with a comfortable strap. Going through security is a breeze without the need to remove my laptop. I only have 1 real complaint at that is the zipper. The metal piece that zips and unzips doesn't fully secure the small rope and tab that you pull to easily zip and unzip. So it can come lose

This laptop bag only good for six months. Be aware that the handles fail at the stitched seams. The first bag I ordered had this problem with the front handle at approximately 6 months. The manufacture was good enough to replace the bag with the identical item. A few months later both front and back handles are starting to fail. The warranty has expired :(

At the beginning of the year I bought a Dell Precision M3800, which is fairly thin. I travel often and was shopping for a new case and found this on Amazon. One nice feature is the handles stand up as shown in the picture, which makes it a lot easier to pick up the case with one hand.

The checkpoint friendly feature works great, saves time and hassle at security, and for that I give 4 stars.As others noted, the big flaw is the zippers.The string pulls come off the zipper way too easily. I have lost any yet, but it is a matter of time. I would much prefer metal zipper pulls. Other than that, the bag is well constructed and comfortable to carry. It's big enough for my laptop and assorted computer gizmos. But not much else. But, that's fine with me.
