My guy was born in 1936, graduated from high school in 1954 I bought him books for both years. They're on the table by his favorite chair. He keeps looking at them and remarking about this n that, how things were like waaaay back then and how much has changed. It brings back old memories. Even tho he's kept up with the times - takes classes & works full time with an array of computers in his office - he finds it interesting to see what it was like the year he was born, and to remember music, movies etc that he can remember when he was 18 and graduated from high school. He's particularly tickled that his beloved Green Bay Packers won the superbowl in one of those years.

These may be small booklets, but they contain a wealth of interesting information. What music & movies were popular, what was the average income, cost of gasoline, cost of a brand new car, a home. I bought booklets for my birth and high school graduation years too. I'm shocked to realize I could write a check right now for the cost of a home in 1962 (the year I graduated from high school), and I'm far from rich. You could buy a brand new car for the cost of one month's rent of a decent apartment in Minneapolis.

These would make great gifts for old and not-so-old alike.

I bought this card for a friend who just turned 80 years old. It is a little bigger that a post card, with small font and confusing information - specially \considering that someone who is 80 years old does not have that perfect vision as who planned to make the product this way.
