First time playing wearing. 2x I expected to fit at least somewhat loose if I had bearly latched. Not the case as it fit tight. Might be OK if you are a teenager. Also at close range being hit it does hurt if it knocks a hole into vest. It did. For cost it is OK but will have to make adjustments with velcro to fit a bit better.

It is just what I wanted but it did not come with the neck protector... I missed the first paintball game of the season because I don't want to get shot in the neck by accident lol. It did come fast though and was a good price.

While I was a bit skeptical when iI ordered this product, I could not be happier with the selection. I used the padded chest protector during a tactical defense class and it ended up saving me from a ton of welts I would have received from close range paint ball encounters. While I did not use the gloves, I was impressed by their quality and the neck guard was a fine addition. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Got this for my 11yr. old, 90lb son in order to introduce him to paintball.
The throat protecter is too big, looking like a thin neck brace.
The chest pad has velcro at the bottom. The placement of it lands on his hips so as he moves it slides up to his waist where he is thinnest. This pushes the top of the pad up into the bottom of his mask. He looks like he has inflatable sholder & chest pads. It looks ridiculous & is cumbersome. It will stop the pain of your first time being shot but not that of everyone laughing at you.
The gloves are the only thing worth buying here, so consider just buying them separately.

Everything was as advertised. The vest is a little too large,but I think it will be fine. The neck piece is too large and will serve no purpose. The only thing that bothers me is the vest does not seem to have enough padding. I've been told that the paint balls really hurt. He hasn't used the equipment yet, so I can't say if it afforded him enough protection. He can't wait to try it out and kept asking me, where's my paintball gun!! The price was great, so I really shouldn't expect it to have more padding built into it. Over all, for the price, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Not bad for the price. The area it covers works pretty good. I got shot twice in the back (by my own teammates haha). One just missed the vest while the other hit squarely on it. On my attached picture you can see the obvious hit just outside the vest but there's another one that's up a little to the left that's slightly red but nowhere near the same effect. So the protection works if it hits your vest but the coverage, although large (front & back), is limited. Also, I got hit on the glove (pinkie knuckle) while walking off the field and there was no pain or marks left behind so that seemed to work well too. Didn't get hit on the neck so I can't comment on that one but it fit well enough and didn't bother me when I had it on. Got a little hot but that was to be expected.

So it's an OK product for the price I guess. The quality is poor but you get what you pay for. I wasn't gonna spend a ton of money on playing gear as I'm starting in the paint-ball world. That being said, it would help if the size of the vest is appropriate to what it is intended for. I ordered L which is my size but the vest lower edge ends up almost by my belly bottom. I would've ordered a larger size like XL. Otherwise, it looks cool. No regrets.
