This kit worked great. As for the negative feedback on the stripper...if you have the touch of Shaquille Oneal at the free throw line then you'll have trouble..the method is to leave the slot open all the way push the plunger in,and with thumb hole up slip the coax through exposing about 1/8 inch of cable,release the plunger and gently and easy turn the unit away from you and rotate it until it feels finished,5 or 6 times.you should have two areas cut at different depths,strip the cable ,push the F connector on until you see the white insulation is at end of the inner hole ,clip the copper wire( rule of thumb,never leave more than a nickels thickness past the connector.)put it in the crimping tool,squeeze the handle with steady pressure until you feel and hear a slight click ,check with tester and Your done...I've done twenty connectors still works great.....Couldn't be easier!

This is a very good kit for completing a coax cable installation project. All of the components of the kit seem to be made well and are of good quality.
The stripping tool was very simple to use. I was able to complete fabrication of about a dozen cables easily, without any issues. Cables stripped perfectly every time.
The crimping tool was also very simple to use and again, I was able to complete all of the cables without a hitch.
The included connectors are very good quality work perfectly.
The cable tester was very useful in completing my project. I was able to find a short in the cable that my electrician had installed for my home theatre. I was also able to trace a few cables that the home builder had left un-marked, and determine witch rooms that they went to. The directions for the tester however state that the battery in the tester cannot be replaced, and that it should be discarded when it no longer works. I was a little diappointed when I read that. The directions do not state how long the batteries last, either number of uses or shelf life.
All in all , this is a realy good kit, and I feel as though I got my money's worth out of it.

I bought this because I am a carpenter and have always had good luck with Klein Tools. I bought this tool package with this 50 pack of coax connectors: PPC Ex6xlPlus Outdoor Compression Connectors so I could run cables from my HDTV antenna to 4 TV's (2 bedrooms, office, and living room. It worked perfectly with the included Klein connectors, but it was difficult to make the others I bought slip far enough onto the coax wire and fully attach when clamped. I had about 25 connections to make and about one in 3 with the non-Klein connectors failed. And by the time I was done with everything the cutting blade on the stripper was no longer sharp, had visible chipping and did not cut cleanly.
I think I will be asking for a refund on this tool. It did not function universally as advertised and clearly does not live up to the long-standing Klein quality standards. The crimper seem to be built solid enough and works perfectly with Klein connectors, but it is not actually a universal crimping tool. And the stripper is flat junk. Not worth it!

Coax connectors are easy to seat and WILL NOT COME OFF once compressed. The stripping tool strips the sheathing, leaves about a quarter of shielding, and leaves about a quarter inch of bare wire. When seating the coax into the connector, the cable slides right into the perfect depth. The compression connector once compressed fits tightly onto the coax and will not come off. I wanted to see how tight the fit was and tried to pull it off with pliers and lost that battle. The cable tester works by connecting one end onto the coax (once you have connector installed/terminated) and connecting the little blue screw on cap onto the other end of the coax (must have female to female coax splicer adapter $0.98 at local electronics store). The light will light up green or red telling you if the coax cable is good or has a short in it. I stripped the coax and installed (terminated) the connectors to coax in under 1 minute. Simple and easy to use.

This coax kit is great. I needed to add coax ends to several rg6 cables that I ran from the attic to 3 tvs, and cut to length. This tool is heavy and well made. After you strip the wire,the process takes about 5 seconds. The compression ends are nice and tight and work great. You can't beat this kit when it comes to quality, price, and has everything you need.

The compression tool works well, is made well and fits by hand well. The tester has proven to be very handy a couple of times for the purpose of finding the correct cable where there is more than one that are not marked as well as checking if the cable is good or not.

The stripping tool is almost worthless. I tried it on several different cables with bad results. The tool does not cut through the outer insulation. I would give it 5 stars if the stripper was better, it is not near the quality of the compression tool.
