I am a long time Logitech wireless keyboard+mouse combo user. This MK750 will be my third set from Logitech. I was coming off the MX3200 - that I've been using it literally everyday for 3 years. The main reason is because my MX3200 was coming to it's end of life, i.e., mouse footing eroded thus no more gliding smoothly, mouse skin on the left side eroded from everyday touch thus no longer feel nice and smooth to the touch. Worse of all, it tends to suck up battery pretty fast. A fresh set of battery used to last a couple of months on the mouse, now it's 3 weeks max. When keyboard start to get stuck, I know I have squeezed everything out of my MX3200.

Here's my feedback after using MK750 for a few weeks:

About the keyboard:

- Right of the bat, be prepared to adapt to the new design.
MX3200 keyboard design incorporates the palm rest as part of the keyboard. The keys are the old classic IBM-XT type. Whereas, MK750 is more stylish + contemporary design. The size of each key is relatively the same as MX3200 but it is a flat one like most laptop during 2012 model (I just bought HP Pavilion dv7 in August - so I am already somewhat adjusted to this new design). It is not a big deal as there are the two legs under the keyboard to raise it up a bit so it would sit tilted on your desk just like most keyboard does (** Do not put anything heavy on the keyboard, you may easily break that two small legs).

- The keyboard is made with good quality material.
The keys seem to be using a different mechanical design, thus keyboard stuck is more difficult to occur. Keyboard mechanical design is well thought off by Logitech. It gives out fainted sound and most importantly the right feel when being typed.

My last several keyboards and mice have been Logitech products, specifically the Wave keyboard and mouse combination. After one of our keyboards met an unfortunate demise I bought this combo set and so far have been very pleased. I have found a couple of things about the keyboard that are less than ideal but so far there have been no major issues.

I will talk about the mouse and keyboard separately.

The mouse is an M705 Marathon mouse. This seems to be the mouse model that comes in many of the Logitceh combo packs and it is a good, all-purpose mouse that seems to hold up very well (this is actually the second one we have in the house now). Though by appearance alone it appears to be a little on the small side, it is actually a comfortable mouse for people with larger hands like myself. It's a five-button mouse with probably the best scroll wheel available on a mouse. Using this mouse, working with Windows 8 on a non-touchcreen device like a laptop is actually not too bad.

The range on the mouse it good, I have been able to use it on the computer from across the room (approximately 20 feet), which makes it very suitable for use on presentations or working in an environment where multiple systems are in use and space is somewhat a limited.

The keyboard is the very first solar powered keyboard I have ever seen or used. It is a full-sized keyboard with a full set of keys, but running across the top of the keyboard are two banks of silicon solar cells that gather light. They don't take up a lot of space and they're not unattractive.

According to the documentation, the solar cells charge an internal backup battery that can hold a charge for up to three months so this keyboard is not slaved to brightly lit areas 24/7.

A few problems with this keyboard. The first is that if you don't work in a VERY bright environment, it's not going to stay charged.

The second is that there is NO WAY to charge this thing manually. A simple USB port to do a plug-in charge from time to time would have been a very good idea.

The final problem is that the battery life inside the keyboard is severely shortened by poor lighting. Now, when I say poor, I mean, I have a 85 watt CFL nearly over top of this thing and it still tends to die over the course of the week.

It looks great, it's a great keyboard - while it lasts. However, sadly, I'm going to have to find an alternative or perhaps an updated version. Your mileage, may vary, especially in a well-lit office environment.

The keyboard is solar powered and works great. Near a window with no overhead lights or using overhead florescent lights I get ample charge to never lose power on this board (after 2 months of testing). The chiclet keys are similar to many laptops and a nice desktop complement for people accustomed to typing on a laptop. The keyboard can be laid flat or propped up using the built in back legs. Heads up: the front of this board is so low that I was unable to use the gel wrist support I used with my previous keyboard. So far so good but I would have preferred to keep my support.

Mouse feels fine in my hand but is AA battery powered (not solar like the keyboard) which was well noted in the product description but means that you are still stuck buying batteries periodically. I use this mouse about 9hrs a day 5 days a week and have yet to replace the batteries after ~2 months. I have a harder plastic mouse pad vs the felt style pads and it slides smoothly over the surface. My issue with the mouse is that scroll wheel. It's a weighted metal, which sounds great, but it continues to spin well after you want it to stop. Even when I stop the wheel manually I frequently experience an extra line or two of involuntary scroll as the weighted wheel settles. Very annoying. I am trying to get used to this mouse but may eventually give up / buy a separate mouse.

My advice: buy the keyboard on it's own, save a few $ and buy a different mouse.
