    These shoes are as gorgeous in person as you would ever hope they are. But then comes the bad news and it is bad! They are made to be VERY slim and I do not have a wide foot by any means. They are very very tight and uncomfortable and I am just no the type of person who has shoe problems. These need to be HARDCORE broken in and I talking a serious full time job. I have had mine cycling through the freezer with shoe stretchers jammed in them since I got them and today I took them out to the movie theater. I was fine in them for the most part, by no means comfortable but not uncomfortable like the first day I tried them and took them around the block. The work is SLOWLY paying off but it's still hard to imagine them ever really fitting like a glove as the company proclaims. The leather is VERY thick and it just cuts into your flesh. GOOGLE 'hasbeens/breaking in' and you will see this is a little known secret.
    But if you are down to put in the effort I think they can work out for you unless you have fat feet/chubby feet, have feet that are prone to swelling or have a high arch. If you have any of these issues then I don't think these will work for you at. all.

    Actually the wooden sole is perfectly comfy, so if that part seemed iffy to you then I would say it's way more about the leather being SO STIFF.

    Wish me luck, I'm off to stick em back in the freezer!

    LOVE at first sight online, and I am so glad that they lived up to the pedestal I put them on. I drooled over these for months before being able to finally buy them and they were worth the wait. The price on Amazon is amazing!!! They arrived super fast, and they fit perfectly. I was not sure about walking around on wood, but honestly it is way more comfortable than I thought. I ran around Costco, and did errands for two days wearing these without problems. There was a small area, on the side of one foot, that was rubbing the first day but sure enough by the second day the leather loosened and that is no longer happening. Give them a chance, they do ease up after wearing them just a little.

    They are so cute in pink, I am going to get the same Lacy design in the slightly higher heel for my longer pants. I'm a size 10, and 40 fit perfectly, Not too tight at all, my foot is not hanging off the back of the shoe and they are very easy to walk in (again I am used to shoes that give a little more, this is my first wooden shoe and I love 'em).

    **UPDATE** I have had them for over a week now, and love them even more. One tip, someone (somewhere) mentioned about wearing them around the house with wet socks to loosen them. Ummm....okay, not sure about that one!! Seems a little over the top for me, but I was occasionally having the "tightness" issue on one foot. I wet them under the sink, from the inside (right where the tightness was) and wore them out all day and they were SOOOOO comfy. They totally molded to my foot, no more issues at all. So try wetting them a little in the tight areas, maybe one or two times, before you wear them. Might work out better than being in the house with wet socks. :)

    As directed in another review I got two and returned one pair. I ordered the same size in different colors in case the fit was different. Both fit very well. And my feet are the worst. I have bunions on both feet, high arches, and skinny heels. Usually I run for my birkenstocks at every given chance because my feet won't abide other shoes. Not any more! My birks aren't going anywhere but these are my dressier option.

    I wear an 8 in flats and sandals and 8.5 in running shoes and boots. The size 39s are perfect. While breaking them in I wore thin dress socks with them a few times and that seemed to help. I'd say they took a week to break in.

    I get a ton of compliments on these. I can't walk in heels but these are wonderful for all day wear at the office. I have the nude color and they make my legs look longer like heels without the discomfort.

    The price can't be beat!

    I'm usually a 9 (9.5 in pointy toe pumps) and I have wide feet. The size 40 (european size) fits perfectly!
    Here's what happened: I ordered the first pair but it was so narrow my feet would not get into the shoes. I sent it back and immediately ordered another pair of the same size and crossed my fingers. Bingo! The second pair fits just perfect! It is way wider than the first pair. So don't give up on them, keep trying to find the perfect pair for your feet, because they're totally worth it.
    It is true the leather is stiff at first, but after a few days wearing the shoes around the house it started stretching, getting softer and molding to my feet. Just like magic! ;)
    So if you're not planning to wear the shoes right out of the box and if you are patient enough to go through the "stretching and softening" process, I say go for it! The quality is excellent and YES, they get more and more comfortable with time (not at first though.)

    I measured my feet and checked the sizing chart on the swedish hasbeens website before I ordered, and the size seven fit me perfectly with a little bit of room to spare in the toes. I usually wear size 6-7 depending on the brand and shoe. I highly recommend taking a measurement of your feet and comparing it to the size chart on the official web site because their shoe sizes vary a bit between styles.

    These are the most comfortable shoes with heels that I have ever worn. They are so light and dainty that I don't feel like I'm wearing shoes. They are pretty slim though, so if you have wide feet, it might not work. The leather is nice and thick so it will hold its shape for a long time. These shoes are so high quality and definitely worth the price (especially when they go on sale on amazon).
