I use this mixer for a hobby to mix a very dense mixture with 83% solids. It performs well. When it arrived I could not raise or lower the bowl so I had to loosen some of the screws that support the bowl support. Under heavy loads I had to retighten them to keep the bowl from making noises while mixing.

The mixer has made my prior use of a kitchenaid mixer look like childs play.

Should have bought it years ago.

Bad Boy mixer for home use!. I bought one of these mixers for my wife who teaches a 4-H class on baking. Out Kitchen Aid stand mixer was rapidly going to die if we didn't do something to mitigate the strain of various dough mixes. I researched this mixer and got a great deal on ebay @ $600 delivered to the house. Now the problem is getting a stand that will hold the massive weight of this mixer. The packaging said it is 200Lbs. I was sure that was the gross weight but when it arrived I am now convinced that is the actual weight of the mixer.

I would call this a 5 star product for anyone doing any amount of projects that need a mixer like this one. The size is a bit large for the home but it will certainly do any home mixing need. I will now have to get a table of some kind that will support the weight of this mixer. without denting or caving in the top. One more concern is the feet on the mixer do not have any rubber feed to protect support surfaces. I will have to shop around or make some rubber feet before setting this machine into use.

I fired it off just to see the various speeds of the gear options and they should be adequate for any baking project. This mixer is a brute for the home kitchen and I think most people with an open area kitchen will be very pleased with this mixer.
