We followed the instructions to the letter and we did a secondary fermentation, but even from the beginning I had my doubts. The malt was red in color and by bottling day the beer was a deep red. Definitely wasn't the light yellow of a summer beer. I would have given it only 2 stars but on the off chance I messed up this simple brew, I gave it an extra star. My guess is that it had the wrong malts in the package.

I have had a lot of success with the Brewer's Best beer ingredient kits. The Weizenbier is no exception. Because there’s no separate step involved in steeping the grains, this is one of the easiest to make. The kit produces a light-hearted beer perfect as a summertime treat. This is a great kit for the first-time home brewer to try, since it is so simple to make. Plus, it is quite affordable.

The Brewer's Best kits have instructions that are clear and easy to follow. To date I have never had a failure with the Brewer's Best kits I have tried.

Although an optional step in the instructions, I would definitely suggest the secondary fermentation step.
