In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness.     Bummer. I have worn ASICS for two years and assumed that this style fit like the others, however, the Aggressor 2 fits slightly larger. As a wrestler, you can't have a shoe that slides around. Unfortunately, I wore this to practice, and now I'm out $100. I wear a 10.5 in most brands, including ASICS, but these 10.5's were much too big. Sorry, I can't afford another size at the moment, so I can't tell you which ASICS Aggressor 2 actually fits like a 10.5

    I've always liked the Aggressor series and now they have one that's nearly all black. I love the blacked out look of these shoes. My teammates love them and constantly compliment how nice they look. Appearance is a 10/10.

    Fitment was spot on, but I was coming from Asics so I already knew I needed another pair of 13s. Not too wide nor too slim; perfect snug fit. Another big reason I bought this is because the convenience of the strap. Just tuck the laces in the pocket and pull the strap over and you don't have to worry about taping your shoes up.

    Having grip all around definitely helps in certain situations and that's why I chose these over the JB Elites and other pairs. I'd advise giving these shoes about 2-3 weeks (roughly 10-15 practices) to break in and let the grip develop. During that break-in period you'll be slipping and sliding.

    Overall, I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone. These shoes look great and function even better. Best Asics shoe yet.

    i use them for my low impact martial arts class, 2 hours, they are holding up well. However the glue they used is a weird purple color and so you can see it against the black martial. there are some places where the seems are starting to fail.

    I was worried these might feel hot on my little tootsies since theres not any mesh (the last pair I had were the adidas "super slays" which had a lot of mesh) but they dont feel hot at all. I was also concerned with the sole, since I wanted a REAL split sole. For whatever reason every brand SAYS they have a split sole but its not, theres always that hard bridge between the toe and heel which I think cuts out some of the flexibility. Anyway, this thing is nothing BUT sole and GRIP, and its AWESOME! They look cool, which is obviously half the game, but I feel like I have traction from any angle on the mat. Ive got nothing but good opinions about these shoes.
    I cant back this part up, but legend has it that if you truly believe, every shot you take in these will be 100% successful, and Dan Gable himself will approve of your techniques/footwear.

    I ordered these shoes for my son. They are very well made and a very nice shoe but are a very narrow shoe. Normally all we buy are asics but these ones are just a different style. I didn't want to spend the money on a shoe that may or may not stretch out, so I sent them back. I would still recommend these shoes to guys who have a normal width foot.
