I use these to add a touch of *spring* into my journalings. They are similar in color (perhaps not quite as vibrant) as the sakura milky gel pens -- but these have a TRUE fine point. They write thicker than some of my other 0.5 pens seem to, but my hand feels much more in control of the pink and my writing. They actually show up on black paper (only my sakura pens were visible on black paper) and I am very pleased with the price. Pilot pens (hi-tec c AND now the juice line) are wonderful additions to your pen collection! With the sakura pens to decorate the edges of a page, these would journal nicely on black or other dark papers.

It's incredibly difficult to find pastel gel pens that aren't actually neon, but these are great! The green edges a little bit toward a neon brightness & the purple is darker than the others (not really a true pastel, in my opinion), but the others are perfect.

These are okay pens. They are unique shades with a nice nib, but the ink tends to stop flowing sometimes when you're writing. These are best for use on good quality black paper. All the shades but white show up on white paper though, and are very subtle and pastel if you prefer that look. My favorite pen out of all of these is the Pastel Violet shade, because its the perfect lilac shade and is really pigmented and shows up well while still retaining that pastel quality. The pink has almost a neon/florescent quality to it, and the blue/green/yellow shades are good for subtle accenting on white paper. The pen barrel is good quality along with all other aspects of the hardware like the clip and grip. All in all, these are an alright set of pastel pens, but there are better more "vibrant" pens on the market that have better flow. Just because these are pastel colors, doesn't give the excuse that they have to be flimsy in pigment

I had to float them in a separate container, in a pan of hot water for them to work. ( I read that suggestion from another review) they worked nicely then. Good pale colors. I seem to run out of those More often than the darker colors.

Nice pens, however, I notice that the gel ink skips a little when writing or drawing. This is not a huge issue for me, but I would prefer them not to skip for the price paid. They come with a small rubber cap on the tip of the pens to prevent the gel from drying out. You can choose to throw it away or keep them if you're not planning on using it all the time. The clip is also adjustable and you can clip it on larger things if you want to. The color of the pens are lighter than I thought they would be and would be great for darker paper.

These pens are just as good as the Sakura pens! They flow smoothly, and the color is vibrant even for pastels. It's so difficult to find good quality pastel gel pens! These are great on both black and white paper, the color shows up great on either one.

They look short, but when I measured the 'visible' ink in them against the 'visible' ink in longer pens, I found they all appear to have 7 1/4-8 ins. of ink in them. The major plus is you can color in neatly in tiny spots, and in extremely pointed areas. I have already re-ordered.
