Will not stop eye disease in your pet, but will dramatically slow it down. We definitely have experienced this with our 11 year old cling chihuahua. We have tried several other food additives and this one is by far the best. We took it to our vet for approval and he said the ingredients were really good for slowing down cataract growth.

At first I was unaware of my dog's cataracts. I did notice though that he seemed to gaze at me and he would look at things in a staring sort of way. He would also take my fingers when I gave him his treats, yea ouch and I'd tap his face for being over zealous! Then one evening when he was angled in such a way to the shine of the light, I saw he had cataracts. Only then did I connect his peculiar behaviors to the fact that he could not see very well.
I searched and found Cataract Defense on an internet blog and I was skeptical but gave it a try anyway. Just within 2 weeks of adding this to his diet, I noticed he was not staring and seemed to be more alert. This WORKS! And he now takes food from my hand carefully and leaves my fingers alone. I am very very pleased with the results I've gotten so far. He has his own dogfood but I mix this with food I know he will gobble up, like a bit of meat or veggies from our dinner plates, chopped up small so he does not know it's there. I don't want him to miss a single drop.
