This was a lengthy assembly process for me only because I was watching Sunday's football games at the same time. It's hard to concentrate when your team is playing. Anyone can put this together if they have the time and patience. There is a video on youtube where a guy gives you some tips on assembling the bench portion. So if you get stuck on something bench related I highly recommend watching the video. I was impressed by how well this levergym was packaged. Everything came bubbled wrapped and the nuts/bolts were labeled via a number on the bags they were placed in.
The manual does not talk you through the order in which to put things, instead it shows you pictures in sequential steps. There are 9 pages of assembly evolution (starting with the base) and working systematically from there to build the unit. No disrespect to anyone but if you use a little common sense on how things should work in general it will help you piece this together with very little fuss. But if you're expecting the instructions to talk you through every step then you will be frustrated. By no means should this discourage you from getting this unit, I think once you've put it together you will chalk it up as your first workout with the unit and you'll feel better once you see the unit assembled.
I used the pulley with about 50lbs of total weight just to try it out and the process was smooth. I loaded (4) 45lb weights onto the arms (2 each side) and it was stable and smooth as well.
My initial assessment: Awesome fit and finish and built with high quality as a priority.
