I wanted an open faced helmet for summer riding and better field of view. I bought this one based on price vs. features. I think that the quality of this helmet is excellent. I trusted the size of the helmet by measuring my head. I think I measured 58.5cm around which of course is between two sizes. I went for the larger (large 59-60cm) and was pleased with the fit. At first it seemed very tight but then broke in after a few hourse wearing it.

The features I find excellent here
1) the face shield is large and offers great visibility. Flip it up at a light for coolness and to talk
2) Removal of face shield for cleaning is a snap (slide red switch and rotate the shield reatainer until it pops out - do this for both sides)
3) liner can be remove for washing (haven't done this yet)
4) strap has a quick connect/disconnect attachment feature
5) ventilation is excellent
6) snap down eye shield for bright conditions. this can also be removed for cleaning or to replace with different color
7) they included reflective stickers for the helmet -safety first
8) I can wear my glasses with this helmet (put them on after putting on the helmet)
9) comes with a nice carrying pouch

for the price here this helmet can't be beat! I was really impressed and pleased with this purchase.

My mother and I bought these helmets through our scooter dealer and wear them religiously any time we ride. A few days ago my mother got into a wreck whilst wearing this helmet, she was drug about ten feet with her head slamming the ground multiple times before the car that she struck stopped. The helmet held up, the outer shell didn't even crack. My mother was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries and I credit her life to the fact she was wearing a quality helmet.

The OF569 helmet by LS2 is well built and a near steal at about $100. The fit was just a tad bit snug when I first put it on, but has settled and fits comfortably now so I would say the sizing is near spot on. The primary face shield has 2 or 3 pre-set positions that it will stop at between being completely closed and all the way up. The sun visor is extended by a thumb switch on the side and is then spring-loaded so that it can be rapidly retracted. The quick-release chin strap is a little different than most helmets in that it has a ratcheted plastic tab that inserts into the buckle, allowing it to be easily adjusted, but has a spring loaded release lever instead of the typical buckle. It's still easy to release, you just have to retrain your fingers. All in all this is an excellent helmet at a very good price.

A very cool helmet,I think they run a little small acording to size charts,i bought a large and had to return it for ex large but the flip up sun visor and the other looks make it for me.But after getting an xtra large it still hurts my forehead and my wifes forehead,it leaves big red welts on my head after 30 minutes I can no longer wear it.I contacted customer service and they said they would send me different padding but they never did.I contacted them again and they said they could not help me ,so their customer service is horrible.Their excuse is that my wife and I have a long oval shaped heads...haha ,what a bunch of B.S!I own several other helmet brands and never had this problem until now.So cool helmet but they don't stand behind their product !I won't buy from their company again.

I own two of these helmets (one for me and one for my wife). This is really great helmet. It is very lightweight comparing to most of other open face helmets. It is also lighter than $500 full face helmets and it is extremely lighter than other helmets with drop-down sunscreen.

Initially I had some doubts regarding sunscreen mechanism durability, but now it is about a year of moving sunscreen up & down at least once a day (I commute by my motorcycle) and it works like new.

Visor is also of good quality. It is still clear after 15k miles which is pretty good from my experience (over 50k miles overall mileage).

Chin strap is the best I ever seen. It is lockable and unlockable by one hand easily.

Also, I would recommend to buy it 1 size smaller. Padding will becomes flatter after a while and the helmet will be loose otherwise.

Sizes run small, I usually wear a Large and the size chart indicated a large in the LS2 as well but it is very tight. I purchased it in the fall and only wore it a couple times before Winter set in. Have worn it several times this year and after an hour or so of riding it becomes very uncomfortable. To the point that on a long ride I take a backup helmet with me for when it gets too much to bear. After several long rides I have come to the conclusion it is never going to break in and be comfortable so I am trying to decide whether to order the next larger or go with a different brand which costs more. If it fit properly I would say it was my favorite helmet; light weight, decent ventilation, bayonet clasp, internal sun visor goes up quickly with just a touch when entering a very shady area, a great feature. The color matches my bike and I like the overall look of the helmet. BUT I am not to fond of buying and returning until I get one that fits.
7/27/2015 - After ordering a replacement is size XL that was clearly too small again I sent it back immediately and ordered a XXL which fit better but was still tight. Took it on a weekend trip rode about 800 miles wearing it and it was misery. The liner has 3 vertical seams across the forehead area and after two hours of riding when I take the helmet off my forehead in sore (that is an understatement) and the imprint of the center seam is imbedded in my forehead. After being in the sun without a helmet on Saturday the sunburn made it that much worse.when i had it wear it on Sunday for the ride home.
I am returning it and trying another brand. The thin and poorly designed padding ruin what would have been a great helmet.
