I've bought two of these for holding my vacuum distillation set. The product is made of very solid and high quality metal and is very sturdy. There is one problem however- I find myself constantly re-attaching the pole to the horizontal bracket as moving the set or bumping it causes the pole to unscrew by itself. I've fixed the problem by putting some tape around the thread and screwing it in tightly.

This was everything I expected. Sturdy and did its job admirably. My only knock, the cork that lines the inside of the clamp began to pull loose on the very first use. In the end, it survived 5 gummy bear exothermic reaction experiments so job well done.

A very basic unit, but it works. A heavier footing and adjustable or pointy rests would have been better, but then this would make it more expensive. Clamps are OK, but do not allow to tighten them strong enough to prevent rotation when the clamped item is assymmetrical.

A convenient set. Build quality is decent. The vertical rod threads right into the baseplate and has a tendency to loosen. I will probably look to add a lock washer and or thread locker. Otherwise gets the job done.
